NL POs are really no better or worse than PPOs. It all depends on a) how many new items go up for pre-order, and b) how much demand there is for those items.

But the previous PZ, premium format, was such a pain. I still cannot believe I secured one at the end of trying for forty or so minutes and crashing several times out of the site. I just don't ever want to experience that again on a piece I want. Luckily, this won't be happening for me very much anymore because PZ will likely be my last Sideshow order until the release of the Alien maquette.

Was just thinking it would be nice to combine my rewards points with the coupon, but I know its not possible. Would make for a nicely priced PZ bust though.

True, but those are really corollaries of "b". If there is no demand, the chance of a server crash approaches zero.

We get a 1:2 scale Dead bust for $60. Logically, doubling that would be $120 for 1:1. Granted the $60 bust is mostly just a head, so figure $200 then for the 1:1 to be fair. That still makes PZ $300 too much. I'd bite at $250, but even I have to draw the line somewhere. I wouldn't mind getting the print, but these prints are weak exclusives at best, so I don't think this PZ item will be as 'must have' as the other 2 have been.

I agree that the eyes on the PF look INCREDIBLE. Totally makes the piece.... But I think the "leather-like" skin on the PZ 1:1 looks great. And the sheer size of a REAL size zombie in your room is pretty exhilarating

I don't mean to be picking nits, but you have missed a fundamental piece of the math here. The difference between a 1/2 scale bust and a life-size bust isn't just double. It is actually a factor of eight. In other words, it is twice the height, twice the width, and twice the depth (2x2x2=8). So, not only is there 8 times as much surface that needs to be sculpted, there is also potentially 8 times as much polystone (assuming the same ratio of hollowness to the busts).

With that said, I agree that $500 is a very steep price for the bust, and I will be shocked, shocked I tell you if it sells out tomorrow night.

Yeah, I guess that is true, but I think in theory, it still holds up. Its double the size of the LSB head and should only be slightly more than double that price. Even if you made it $300, that would still make the bust $200 overpriced. Plus there is next to no fabric used on this piece. I mean when did they think PZ was too sexy for his shirt? The original 12" figure had no hint of him having a wide open shirt. And the PF was just meant to show off some more detail. but its not needed here. I really think Sideshow missed the mark on this one.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announce some ridiculously low ES for the EX and people will go ape____ and we'll have a fiasco not unlike the PFs with the server crashing due to flipper demand for the limited piece and we all patiently wait for 4hrs until the site comes back online to reveal it's sold out. Only to be surprised further, as they underestimate the interest from Asia again and the ES of the regular is boosted by, say, 125 or so and "International Exclusive" is painted on the bottom and it's sneakily released for discovered by a freak finding some random ebay auction and we all declare it a fake until it's officially confirmed.

The EX PF could be had for around $500 now. Between this and the pf, I'd take the pf. I'm happy owning just the pf.
