Hi guys , I have a paypal account and regularly buy things from the US and Japan to say a few ( I am in the UK ). I usually get money into my paypal account by selling things on ebay. The other way thats possible for me is to do a bank trasfer which annoyingly takes 8 days !!.
Other than these two options is there any others ways to put money into a paypal account thats quicker than 8 days. I hate it when I see something that only excepts paypal have the money in my bank and can't buy it !!.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !.

The only thing I know of is a credit card(which of course isn't really putting money in, but is paying instantly), which is the only way I pay. Paying for stuff with a Paypal balance is just asking for trouble if you don't know the seller.

Yeah good point, I always withdrawl my finds into my bank account before buying something

So if I'm paying via paypal ( sorrry for the newb questions , I don't use it much ) is it possible for me to use my bank account money to pay instantly and if so when am I given that option ?

Yes.......The default setting on your PAYPAL account should be a direct transfer(Bank account) if not, it will prompt you an option on the screen that says "REVIEW YOUR PAYMENT"

i use a credit card. i have no idea how the bank account transfer works.

on a side note, i recently god a refund for a product i purchased off ebay ( i purchased using paypal with a verified credit card) what im not sure about is will the refund go to my account or is it stored as paypal balance?

I have my debit card information tied to my pay pal account. I only use this debit card for eBay purchases and only deposit money to cover my purchases. It transfers the money from my debit card to PayPal instantly. The problem I have is depositing the money into my debit card, only because I have to transfer it between banks. Sellers usually understand if I inform them payment may take a few days to transfer in, and I wouldn't have the problem if I could be bothered opening up another debit card with a local bank. If I did it may mean a 24 hour delay, as the banks computers don't update the banks records till around 2 in the morning.

drunk_leprechaun:- Your credit card should work equally as well. Just go to your PayPal account and tie the details in and you should be good to go. Your eBay refund will be held as a balance in your PayPal account. Go to your PayPal account and transfer any balance to the account you have tied to it. Transfer the balance and wait till the funds have transferred over before changing the card details to your credit card number.

Aha !. Figured it !.
Now I know I can now use this method to pay for things via ebay and other retail sites but could I use this method say with someone on the board direct into their paypal account ?.
It's the same right ?

Yes its the same to send money to a store, ebay seller or anyone else you want to send money to.

If you have a checking account tied to your Paypal account, they'll do an echeck (payment taken from your checking account) Takes about 4 days to clear.
