Okay I've been playing PC games since 1997 started with Delta Force and many other after that.:yess:

So I want to make the change now to either PS3 or Xbox,so question how hard it was for you coming from PC gaming ( Keyboard & Mouse ) to adapt to the console controller ?:gah:

I played a few times GTA on PS2 and find very difficult to aim using my thumb, keyboard & mouse in my opinion is 10X faster.

Feedbacks all welcome.

Thank you

There's a perfectly good Video Games section on this board that you could have asked this question in. Just sayin'.

Anyway, I can't speak as someone who has only played on PC, but I'd bet it's not like learning how to walk again after a crippling accident. You'll get used to thumb sticks, and if you can't, there are many keyboard and mouse aceessories for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

I'm the opposite: I can't play using a Keyboard/Mouse. I grew up with consoles and a controller is a must for me. Probably the main reason the Wii console with it's TV style remote never appealed to me.

For you, the only way to adapt is to jump right in and start playing. There's no secret technique: you'll either adapt and get it, or you won't and you'll suck in every game you play. Survival of the fittest. :lol

I pefer consoles. Hate when people _____ about how "ZMOG TEH COMPUTER IZ TEH ONLY WAY 2 PLAYZ..."

Yeah, enjoy spening $1000 on a working gaming console, tool.

Well when it comes to FPS games online there's no comparison: people who use a mouse/keyboard combo always win. Because you can aim faster with a mouse as opposed to a joystick on a controller. So I'm sure THOSE people are the ones saying "ZMOG TEH COMPUTER IZ TEH ONLY WAY 2 PLAYZ..." :lol

Generally, I do believe it's true that, given two players with equal skill in an FPS game, the player with the keyboard and mouse has the upper edge. It doesn't mean an automatic win.

However, if you're moving to consoles and plan to play competitive FPS games, you're going up against players that use controllers and thumb sticks, so it's all moot.

Not any worse than the annoying as ____ xbox and ps3 fanboys.

There are snobs on both sides of the argument.

well PC has better graphics. but l never liked games on the computer. though you can hook up a controler to the pc if that makes it easier. now between the 360 and ps3 is still a debate. the ps3 online is free, unlike 360, but not as good or as well done as the 360.360 also have the acheivments which is addicting like crack. graphics are better for the most part on the 360. ps3 has a nice blue ray player in it , 360 does not. the 360 is a sketchy machine. my first one died after on year but have had my elite for 3 with no problem, so that issue is solved for the most part l think. each system has their own exclusives. ps3 has killzone and metal gear. 360 has gear of war. me l like the 360 better then the ps3. the controller is much more comfortable also. l would go for the 360 they are cheap now.but in the end its what you like the most.

I will say that it does take a little bit to get used to. I was playing Counter-Strike religiously during high school and a little bit afterward and switching to consoles wasn't easy. On a mouse, I had my sensitivity WAY up and the consoles only has a few settings for that; so that took a while to get used to. Not only that, but the WSDA controls were easier and faster to respond to when compared to an analog stick.

BUT....once you get used to it, it isn't too bad at all, just takes that adjustment period

Before I got an xbox whenever I played a console I was absolutely horrible with the controller. But really, if you play through your first game on the console you'll get used to it quick. Some games are perfect on consoles, like racing games or fighting games. I still like my FPS's on PC though.

I play games on console if they aren't on PC, or if I want to play online. Or if the game isn't a big deal I'll play it on Xbox to get the achievements.

Like others have said it will take some time to get used to the change. I'm one of the ones that prefers a console game (either XBox or PS3) to computer games....but that's just because I find the controller to be easier to use..especially when you have to press a few buttons at once and be moving at the same time.

My dad on the other hand, could never get used to the controllers. He's old though. :lol But it will be a cold day in hell before he ever switches from computer games to a console.

I say XBOX...cuz then u can play with me! :D

Back in the day i loved playing FPS games on PC, especially Medal of Honor Allied Assault.

When I played on my pc, I found it consumed all my time, and I kept having to upgrade ny video card. Once I played xbox360, it was a similar and just as good experience, graphics and sound were great (because of my home theatre setup), and I found I could play more at my convenience.

I don't play games on my computer anymore.
