It looks plastic for now but maybe they sculpt over it? Dunno.

It will be resin... Translucent resin is a real thing Considering that's a prototype it's likely neither as it's a 3d print.

Some of it is hand sculpted (the 1:1 busts, the new 1:3 line). The 1:4 scale stuff has all switched over to digital sculpting a while back.

Looking at it again though I think that's actually translucent resin (head) already.

I was always confused when PCS posted those renders and people kept saying beautiful sculpt. I actually thought they rendered a 3D model and then sculpted it by hand

Oh well. It's just as good

The transparency should only matter for the eyes... But aren't they going to be painted over? I guess the light is bright enough to go through the paint.

No digital sculpting gets straight 3d printed, and it's pretty cool a lot of stuff is switching to that nowadays it's just that it's still pretty expensive. Both have advantages, though digital will eventually outweight traditional sculpting for stuff like this.

Yes they get painted over, but not heavily enough that it won't shine through. So it won't look quite as bright (which is good cause it's too bright atm for that same reason).

Just seems weird to have a 3D plastic thing molded. If anything its impressive. Technology is great.

Also Jerry confirmed Johnny Cage. It's likely we will see him in 2015

It's no more plastic then resin is (which is a type of plastic, ish ) but it's not ABS plastic that you're used to or PVC.

oh man, Mr. Green gonna get this Raiden Ex for sure. Classic Raiden and only Raiden. dunt want to start another line so Raiden is good enough. gonna have to register on his site soon.
