Cool story bro. That is of course, in your opinion. Where did I say you don't have a right to judge? lol. I did say we are entitled to our opinions, and I gave mine. If you genuinely think it looks like a $200-300 piece then your standards are probably too high IMO, considering 1/6 action figures sell for higher than that really. That statement came across as a troll post to me, so I genuinely wasn't sure if he was serious or not. There's no need to be rude and call me names, so settle.

You obviously didn't read my post properly either, as you pretty much proved my point. You're judging off a teaser photo, which is the point I was trying to make. Wait until the product reveal, don't jump the gun. Everyone always does that. I simply said wait for more pics before people start saying it looks crap. If you still don't think it looks good after the full reveal, then fair enough. Voice your concerns and they may listen to the criticism and fix it.

Having the sculptor stand by their work gives me faith that they will correct the product if it's not up to standard, as they have done with pieces in the past that have received criticism, which is the point I was trying to make with that statement. It has nothing to do with the teaser photo.

Cool story bro. You never said that someone doesn't have the right to judge, but my post was directed towards you clearly getting upset when someone actually does. I'm sure you thought the guy with nearly 50,000 posts on this forum was "trolling" because he doesn't like the statue. :lol You also obviously didn't bother to read through this thread much, as you're pretty much proving my point. I've said many times before that in no way will I judge the final product based on that one picture, but going by what we've seen so far I'm definitely disappointed.

Never mind, they were posted yesterday :lol

That looks much better MaulFan. I wonder if his head is too small in comparison to the body or if it's just the angle of the picture.

That I would say could be a factor of the photo angle and the fact it's a photo of a photo and the image in the photo is also angled. The head looked fine in proportion to the body in the raw sculpt shot I shared again earlier.

I wouldn't judge proportions on this image, but you can tell the hair is causing issues around the face and the overall look regardless of angles.

I wasn't upset at all. Not sure why you think that. I was just stating my opinion, and I thought the comment on the value of the piece was a little harsh.

I don't check everyone's post count when they make a post (nor do I care), and I don't see what that has to do with someone making a troll post. but it had nothing to do with him not liking the statue. It was the comment about the statue looking like a 200 dollar one, which I thought was pretty harsh and unrealistic as while the statue isn't perfect, it doesn't look like a 200 dollar statue.

So you said you won't judge a product based on a teaser then did it anyway? Or maybe I misunderstood.

Anyway man, I really don't want to argue over this. You're clearly annoyed and it's a pointless topic to argue over, and I don't want to pollute this thread with nonsense. MaulFan has already responded to me (in a mature way without being rude, so thank you MaulFan), so he doesn't really need you speaking on his behalf. Let's just let this go :)

...but I do notice that people on here seem to be extremely critical, more so than any other forum or Facebook group.

Eventually because there are no "forum supporters" in here that need to be "protected" by the admins and people can just say what they think about a piece? ;)

I am wondering why nobody in here is talking about his left hand because that is - in my opinion - the biggest flaw on this piece. The way he is holding the arrow simply is wrong. Nobody would hold an arrow that way. They need to turn his hand with his palm up instead of down.

Didn't mean to kick off a whole thing here between people.
I don't think its a bad statue at all.
I guess Im just a little disappointed that I don't think it matches their Conan piece.
If I had a

1/3 Conan - 9.0/10 (would have preferred a sandy base and the body is a little more Olympia than Conan but overall its stunning)
1/3 Rambo - 7.5/10 (think the face proportions are a tad off, body is too thick and don't like the giant grenade base at all)

They're going for a more "promo photo" look than realism.

If the hand and the fingers would be like on that photo, Maul, than everything would be fine. On that photo Rambo is putting the arrow in place. But they sculpted the hand like you would hold an arrow right before you draw the bow - but with the wrong side of the hand up. It is just wrong.

Well, some things are because it's a collectible, I'm guessing they were looking at pics like I posted as overall reference, then altered the hand in a way that they felt would help the statue hold the arrow in place, it'd probably be hard to produce the hand just like the photo as a statue and work out.

I never noticed the hand issue before. But yeah that doesn't seem right, I'm not sure when you'd ever have your hand positioned that way when firing a bow.

Maybe when you're nocking an arrow, but even then that would seem counter productive.

I do like this figure but agree the likeness isnt exactly there but you can tell who it is. The body sculpt is off and looks a tad to big or at least less cut than stallone was. The hand does look strange but i think would be strange if flipped. Overall i think it will be fine and maybe they will make some revisions.
