PERS, what we haven’t got, and what could be next.

So far these are the DX figures that have come with PERS.

3. Michael Jackson “BAD”
4. Bruce Lee
5. Indiana Jones
6. Jack Sparrow
7. Luke Skywalker
8. The Joker
9. The Batman
10. T2 Terminator T800
11. Joker 2.0
12. Batman/Bruce Wayne

Hot Toys has covered their Batman, Bruce Lee, POTC, and their Terminator line. So there are really only two constants left, Ironman and Predator. Now there’s been some discussion of PERS on an Armored Ironman and most have agreed that wouldn’t be a good idea. Now on a Tony Stark DX (with Hologram table, tools and armor pieces) would be a good idea, but what about a Predator? I know the same thing will come up; Predators wear masks and having a figure with moving eyes if they’re covered up, but we have had a few releases that didn’t come with Masks. Not only that but does everyone display their Predators figures with their masks (the ones that have them) on all the time?

If I had my choice of the next DX it would have to be something beside more Jokers and Batmans, and since I’m not getting into the Star Wars line to come (only because I can’t afford to) I’d go for a Tony Stark or a remake of an older Predator in DX form.

Preds and IM have been done to death. OK, no DX's, but done to death nonetheless. Something different for gawd's sake. Another SW DX would be ok, a Han to go with Luke. Or the oft-cited Marty McFly. Or a Rocky Balboa. So much win to be had, I'd be disappointed if we got more of the same from the HT milking machine.

Was that HT Die Hard rumour a bunch of bs then? John McClane would be sweet. Clint Eastwood, meh, we'll have to wait 'til he dies and hope his estate is generous with his likeness rights. Not a Crow fan, but it'd sell like hotcakes.

I'd like a DX VGM like Solid Snake or a Star Wars one, certainly no more Batmans as they've had too many DX's as it is.

And theres Back to the Future that might end up getting the DX treatment, so there is already alot on the DX plate as it would seem.


I really doubt we will see an Iron Man Tony Stark DX or Predator DX any time soon (if ever) Neither one needs a DX PERS treatment IMHO.

I have a feeling we will see a TERMINATOR 1 DX some time in the future as well.
