Doesn't hurt that Shahi is gorgeous.

I really enjoyed her character, Sam Shaw, and would love to have her come back more often. I enjoy kick *** women on tv. I would love to see her assist John once in a while.

My favorite female guest star thus far is Paige Turco (Zoe) and want her back the most. However, with some amazing females all mixed up, Turco, Shahi, Acker, Henson, I cannot say the show is void of some awesome women. And I am loving it!

I want to know more about the other side of the machine, and how far 'Research' goes.

Best episode yet! I'm glad they showed how the other side works with the numbers.

I hope Sarah Shahi continues to be part of this series.:rock

Absolutely. Sarah Shahi is a very likable, charismatic and beautiful woman.
I enjoyed her on the show Fairly Legal, which I understand is canceled.
She did really well in this role, showing a tremendous amount of range compared to her previous role.
This is a very interesting character she has, and I am looking forward to her teaming up with Reece on many episodes to come. She is just about as likable as Reece is, and just as charismatic. The only danger with her being on more episodes is that if she is on too often it will dilute the impact of Reece and then dramatically change the type of show it is.

This last episode, Mr Reece gets knocked back by being punched in the face with Chi. The guy's fist was at least 8 inches from Reece's face at around the 44 minute mark.

^^ The guy who likes to split hairs is on this thread too. *eye roll*

This was a really obvious thing. 8 inches away at least. maybe 10 or 11 inches.

Did you see the scene?

As long as a show is well done and doesn't glorify evil behavior like drugs or theft, ect, I have nothing to complain about.

I take it you don't like Breaking Bad.(?)

Well, I have yet to watch an episode of BB.

Really liking POI.

You are correct. I liked Miami vice, though, in which Sonny Crockett gunned drug dealers down with a great sounding gun followed by cool music in a beautiful background. Drug dealers- Kill 'em all. They got what they deserved on Miami Vice. :)
I like dramas that involve helping people and society. Person Of Interest, Burn Notice, The Good Wife, ect. Breaking Bad is comfort food for bad people.

You continue to soil threads on this board. So now you're making sweeping generalizations on a person's tv viewing habits? Feel free to go into the Breaking Bad thread and call out the regular posters there "bad people" too.

Remember the bottom line. Two board members from that thread put you on ignore and four others called you out due to your antics. Get a clue.

Congrats, you are officially the first person on my ignore list.

You know what, in the time I've been here I haven't put one person on my ignore list. I always figured that every person here, no matter how rude, or stupid, or aggressive or whatever... the people who for whatever reason offend me the most... they'd all have something to offer at some stage that would be worth noting. But I've given it long enough now to know that Blackthorneone qualifies for the strict criteria I place on my membership to my ignore list.

Not just TV. Movies, books, ect.The things one seeks to fill ones head with says a lot about a person. It would be inconsistent to say it doesn't, wouldn't it?

Would a saint be interested in watching a show that condones making and selling drugs as entertainment? Absolutely not. Breaking Bad is an abomination and degrades the human consciousness to the quagmire of a totally amoral if not immoral cesspool.

I will not go into the thread to deliberately bash the show. I don't do that. I went in there to make a joke about the actor's blunder in a speech he made and some people flew off the handle about it. I would have made a new thread but believed it unnecessary.
People got all defensive and aggressive about a humorous observation I made that the actor totally deserved by blundering his words.
Some people react like that and act as if I am the one who makes a big deal out of nothing. Hypocrisy.

I've been wanting LeJuan on my ignore list before he put me on his, but I don't know how to do that. :lol
If certain people are really going to defend a show like Breaking Bad and not comprehend the importance of my objection to it, as in understanding it's logical basis, then that is an irreconcilable difference that we have.

Nothing is ever "just a show".

Every form of entertainment people watch affects their psyche, conditioning them to like what is like that more than they had before.

When the subject is condoning the manufacture of methamphetamine, it is something that is a very slippery slope to the degeneration of human consciousness into people becoming sociopaths and anarchists. It's damn dangerous, yet some just write it off as entertainment.

Why seek to put that crap in your mind at all? Why would someone find that even appealing? They have done drugs or are curious about it? They lack empathy for other human beings and enjoy the drama of people suffering? I don't see any reason why any really ethical person would find it likable enough to watch.

I speak as someone who grew up around people who never did drugs nor had any tolerance for them at all, because of how they destroy people's lives. No one I grew up with would ever watch such a show. It's sad that anyone would ever watch it and really sad for society that it is as popular as it is.

With only so much time in the day, it is better that people watch shows about people finding innovative ways to help people, like Person Of Interest. The Good Wife, Burn Notice, The Mentalist, ect ect. So many shows showing ideas that one could fill ones time with that strive to do good and then there is that show about selling meth that gains attention just because it is different. It is different because it is about the erosion of ethics in the world, and thus erodes the ethics of all those who watch. Southland is an excellent show that is gritty, yet still strives to showcase striving for good.

Breaking Bad is poison, and is a show that would never be allowed on the air in the U.S., at least before the 1990's. Think about that. You know I'm right. All of the other shows I mentioned would be allowed. Somehow society degraded enough to allow Breaking Bad on the air.

You have to actually use rational judgment before you can determine whether an argument is rational.

That doesn't mean conventionalism, ie just going along with what seems popular for many people, and assuming that the popular view is rational without actually using reason to analyze it.

Breaking bad is an evil show with no redeeming social value. I'm not sure you could come up with a more evil fictitious show on TV and have it acceptable enough to get on TV if you tried.

Try to defend the moral fiber of Breaking Bad if you can, and how it helps society to have a schoolteacher who is supposed to be a trusted person influencing your children, making and selling something that destroys human lives and likely will end up in the hands of the children that parents entrust to him at some point, destroying their lives as well.

Vampire shows are far less bad, because everyone knows that Vampires are pure fiction, but a schoolteacher that makes meth rocks society to it's very core, throwing it into an violent, amoral vicious chaos. On the other hand, maybe people LIKE the idea of drug making schoolteachers and can't wait to give their children their first taste of illegal drugs.

love this show, surprised that it's been so good. I've missed a lot of episodes though, wish it were on demand.

I did and I loved it. I enjoy having Shaw around more but the show was cool without her. I would like it if Zoe would come back.

I feel bad for Joss. I hope that her side mission is fruitful and she can return as detective.

I enjoyed the episode and can't wait for the next week. In particular, I liked Root's scenes even though I'm not a big fan of the character. Also, I did not mind Shaw too much but I hope that her use is limited as I preferred the show when she was not in it. Lastly, I too really hope we get some Zoe appearances as well and am curious to see how the relationship between Carter and Elias plays out.

I thought last night's episode was pretty good. However, Root's combat skills have begun to irritate me.
