Okay, I waited to post this until I had addressed the issues here. I replaced the gift card code to Loki and have sent Josh a replacement set of figures. If anyone else has a valid issue, please contact me through PM. However, I feel it won't seem as hypocritical or deceitful to respond to the events of the last few months now. I am not here to post excuses, just explanations. You don't want to believe me, then fine. I will accept that. But, I intend to stay a semi-active member of this board, so I want to get the issue out in the open. Call it self-serving ... Hell, maybe it is. But, I still feel the need to post about it.
I'm not going to lie, I haven't read the entire thread about me. Someone sent me a link to the thread while I was absent from the board and I ignored it for one simple reason - I had already taken care of Gundam's issue. I traded Gundam a GG mail away Bib Fortuna for a set of Jawa busts. I asked him to ship first, since I had not dealt with him before. When the busts arrived, the replaceable gun hand was broken. I told him that this was unacceptable, but he still demanded I complete the trade. I told him I would contact GG and see if they would replace the piece before completing the trade. He then began to flood me with PMs and e-mails. I contemplated just shipping the Jawas back to him, but I didn't think it was fair I should have to pay for the return shipping. About 3 weeks later, GG e-mailed me asking for a picture of the damage and promising to replace the piece, so I mailed him the Bib. Since he never offered to pay for return shipping for the damaged bust, I think that was fair. Maybe you disagree. But, as Dave has attested, the situation was taken care of.
But, apparently, the situation caused a commotion. Old issues that I had been told were done with were brought back up as if they were fresh wounds that I had inflected recently out of some crazed scheme to scam you guys. I will address the two major ones. I sold a member (Customizerwannabe I believe) a set of Young Frankenstein figures. I was upfront about them being loose and admitted I wasn't sure, but I thought they were complete. I sold them for 40 dollars shipped - less than the cost of a single figure new. Apparently, a small scalpel and alternate hand were missing. I offered a 5 dollar refund, but was berated and insulted. They demanded a full refund and I refused. When I offered the 5 dollar refund again, I was told to "keep my damn money." So, while not a happy ending, it was my understanding that the situation was taken care of. I traded a 30 Days of Night trade paperback to Darth Loki in March. He told me that it never arrived. When I offered to send him another set of trade paperbacks to make up for it, he told me, "nevermind, sh#t happens." Once again, I assumed the issue was over. Now, much has come up about my "habit" for items getting lost in the mail. Well, that has happened 4 times out of the hundreds of sales/trades I have done - Once with Loki, once with Josh and the other 2 members escape my memory. I cheap-ed out on Josh and Loki packages (sent then parcel without tracking - I believe Josh's was sent during the X-Mas holiday as well) so I will accept partial blame for that. We live in a rural area without the best mail service (Hell, I have Netflix's movies never arrive and have had to file 2 claims the last year for Sideshow deliveries that were supposed delivered). But, even with that postal problem, I have a rather good track record. I also have offered to and attempted to fix the situation every time.
The problem with Josh was a misunderstanding. I fully admit I should have mailed the replacement figure. However, I honestly thought he told me not to worry. Apparently, after discussing it with him last week, he meant "don't worry, ship them when you can." I won't go on about this because, A.) I admit I was in the wrong, and B.) the situation has been taken care of now. It was wrong, but it was not intentional or malicious.
I believe what caused the most animosity was the 3 or 4 buys I arranged (one with Teemu, the other sellers I cannot remember) before I made my move. I had every intention of buying the items, but the move cost more money than I expected and I simply couldn't afford the items. When I finally had time to come back here and check, my mailbox was flooded with angry messages about these items and I took the cowardly way out, I erased them and ignored the issue. My reasoning was that no money had exchanged hands and it was probably too late to make things better. I admit now that was poor judgment. I should have explained the situation and apologized. I was in the wrong and I am sorry. Since returning, I have apologized to Teemu personally and I now apologize to the other members whose names I cannot remember.
Well, if you have made it this far, you might be asking yourself, why have I posted this message? Well, I won't lie, many of these insults and comparisons have hurt. I made hundreds of trades and sales here. I was often slow shipping - which I admitted upfront - but the deals were carried out. I never scalped or ^^^^^ed when other people pulled out of deals. So, to be vilified for a few minor issues hurt. In retrospect, I admitted I handled a few issues poorly (specifically, the holds for purchase I backed out of). However, nothing was done intentionally to hurt anyone. Now, that I have fixed the issues that were brought to my attention, all I ask for is a little civility. I plan to stay and post occasionally. You don't want to answer my questions, I will respect that. You don't want to sell me something if I ask in the commerce section, I respect that. Just tell me without attacking or insulting me and I will respect that as well. I don't feel I am the monster some of you guys painted me to be. However, I do realize that I made mistakes and would like the opportunity to atone for them. Hopefully, this post will begin that healing process.
