That's what I thought. Now a new picture. Does the 'burster go in, or is it something that is totally seperate from the Predator box and is something SSC will probably package seperately?

I have solved the riddle!

Other than it being a space saver....I like the old packaging better. The only thing I didn't like about the old package was I thought they should have went with a window inside the book flap like these...instead of that stupid, highlighted pieces cut out setup they had.
This packaging looks cheaper....IMO.

Thanks for the info & Pics Darren!

I liked the old design too, especially the artwork and outer sleeve design. They do take up a lot of space, however. This new box looks pretty slick and should take up much less space than its predecessors. I wonder if all of their Preds and Aliens will come in this package design from now on.

If these have been released in HK already, then he should be on the way soon (I hope). Good thing he's already paid for... looks like a slew of Sideshow stuff is arriving this month, too! :monkey4

On further inspection, I really don't like the new packaging, looks cheap and it doesn't scream "HIGH END COLLECTIBLE SO EXPENSIVEZORDDDD!!!11" :lol

The box will probably just end up on a shelf or in a closet anyway. Unless you like to display your figures in the box, it will soon be forgotten in all the excitement, once you pop Wolfie out of there and get him assembled. :D

anyone else feel like the design on the new packaging looks like you're flying through a valley of giant ****s? ****s to the left, ****s to the right....

You know, even though this new packaging looks great and smaller...it ultimately might cost MORE for HT to develop than their old packaging. And sometimes that small cost is passed onto us.

Hence, it might drive up the costs on this and future figures if they stick with this style. But I could very well be wrong and it's ultimately cheaper for them.

A lot of toy companies (Hasbro, Mattel, etc.) bump up the cost on their figures a little because the packaging costs money to design, develop and produce as well.

I still love the new packaging, looks awesome!

If it were going to drive them up I would think it would have with this release. It looks like it would weigh less and that should bring their shipping costs down. It'll end up in the closet anyway but now it will be easier to store so I am all for it. Usually packaging is done by a 3rd party anyway. The buyer never pays for the design. Just the product. My brother owns a packaging design company
