This is almost too good to be true! My old McFarlane MGS Cyborg Ninja action figure is still a prized possession, but I never expected to see another, let alone bigger, more detailed, even more articulated version ever made! :rock:rock:rock

Any idea on the scale of this figure? I'm guessing the same size as the PW figures, but I wouldn't mind at all if it was in 1:6. The McF one had a switch out head of Grey Fox... I wonder if this one will too. :D

Theres a pic on Koimas Twitter of it. it looks ever so slightly taller than the Fatigues Peace Walker Snake.

Such a great surprise seeing as i thought the liscence was only for Peace Walker.

to answere the other question Hideo said theyre desciding wether to include the open mask head aswell right now. hopefully its a yes.

i wonder if theyll do a bloody version as well?

It sure looks awesome but I don't like how the eyes were sculpted.

They look more accurate on the McFarlane action figure.

I'm really impressed by what Play Arts is doing, and I think they've become the flag ship line for the MGS figure franchise. Kojima also seems to be having lots of fun working with them. I hope that the Gray Fox figure is an indication that they plan to make more figures for MGS 1.

I hope this means we'll also see a Raiden Cyborg Ninja from the new MG Raiden game :D :D

This is awesome - I'll for sure pick this up.

I was just talking with Randy Falk at NECA about how the only figures under 12" right now that I'm even buying are the NECA Player Select and the Square Enix Play Arts Kai figures - and this is why: great sculpt, great detail, great characters, and great articulation - can't wait to see it painted :D :D

I think thats a definate! Rising Raiden will lookparticularly sick in Play Arts form.

i hate the waiting!

That's a great watercolour style paintjob on the proto, I hope they can keep it up for the production pieces.
I don't recognise the gun, do we ever see Grey Fox using a gun in MGS1?

Skip to 4:50 in the vid, and witness the awesomeness that is Gray Fox.

I have the sneaking suit big boss, and I have to say that I am nothing less than shocked of hw it looks so good! Plus the fact that he can be picked up for around $50 just makes it that much better. Granted he's no 12 inch real material clothed figure. I can easily be just as happy (if not more) with this one instead. Granted, some exposed joints is somewhat of a bummer, but Play Arts does seems to do a great job at hiding them to the best of their abilities. 1/6 just keeps getting more insane with prices, and I cringe to think of when Hot Toys finally releases their versions. The prices will of course be redicilous and become eventually unattainable like usual. Play Arts has given us collectors a better option that meets us in the middle with a great size and an even better price. Plus they aren't so rare that I need to cut out my kidneys to get one.

So then, that's mean, that they're working on MGS2 figures aswell ?? :panic: :horror :panic: :horror :panic: :horror :panic: :horror :panic:[/QUOTE]

nice pic thanks for sharing :)
