One of my favorite sets of action figures of all times is the NECA comic style TMNT figures. Now Playmates is taking their crack at the classic style with all four heroes on the half shell. You can find my review here:

Honestly though - why would you bother with these, they just feel like sloppy seconds, after NECA nailed these versions. The 'cross hatching' art style detail that they've sculpted into these figures, looks more like leprosy than anything - especially around the snout area on the heads. :lol

You're much better off sourcing the NECA figures over time, then to waste your money on these.
 
I suspect there are casual fans that would like to have them but can't see spending $300 on a set. $35 seems easier to take.

I'm not a huge TMNT fan, but I sure am glad I snagged the NECA figures when they were out.
 
Not much in the way of comic-based turtles out there. If you are a fan of the style, nothing wrong with picking these up.
