Media Playstation 4 Keeps turning itself back on (ANNOYING ISSUE)

I'd wake up see it on. And when I returned from work it would be on. I had 2nd time in went into safemode so I said screw it and sent it into service. Could also be weak connection with hard drive or faulty hard drive. I've also read could be the power or eject button issue since it's touch sensitive. But your disc isn't ejecting so I cross that out. My service time was quick so I suggest sending it now before the hoilday season.

Sounds like we had the same issue, only different being mine did not go into safe mode and I also have issues with the controller not working properly. They said they will send a box for the console and that I would have to send the controller myself to another location on my own dime and that I will get emails on instructions in 24 hours on how to proceed. I will send it asap as your right the holiday season is coming up fast.

Do you mind if I ask your controller issue is? If it's your buttons getting stuck that problem will fix itself. I had that issue but after while the dirt disappeared or you can clean it with rubbing alcohol and q- tip. I bought a second controller around the holidays for 39.99 so wait for sale and avoid like the plague 3rd party controllers because they're all ****.

yeah Google the issue when I had it and got alot troll responses. Glad I could help, sony rep had reboot the system from a flash drive since they thought it was bad update.

My controller is clean as a whistle, I've only had the system for 2 1/2 months. The issue I have with the controller is that for instants I press X button to select a choice from one part of the menu, say the settings, it would sent the command to go back to the main menu, only if I hold in the X button and have it go past where I want to go could I back track with the O button to get where I need to go, very frustrating. I would select the disk option to watch a movie I put in and it would again go back to the main menu, bottom line there seems to be an issue with the controller and likely the system to.

It didn't but now it does, tried to play MGS5 again to see if my data was truly gone, it was but now every time I press the x button it leaves the game and goes back to the home screen, the system is truly a heap of s h I t, only hope at this point is the replacement.

Did you try the Bluetooth issue I mentioned?

Okay up-date time, I received my replacement PS4 a couple of days ago, looks to be a brand new unit, I bought a new controller as I never sent off the other one. Bottom line is things seem to work perfectly, figures crossed it stays that way this time. Now due to the fact I never signed up to the network I lost all my game data, time to replay MGS5 from the beginning
