So, i really like my PS4 but can't help feeling disappointed.

The difference between the PS2 & PS3 was huge but the difference between PS3 & PS4 is very low.

The graphical jump from PS2 to PS3 was like 90%. It was a huge difference, HD life-like graphics replaced the boxy look of the PS2

The PS3 added a replaceable HDD, the ability to store music and movies, online gaming (PS2 had this but it was additional and fairly rubbish) customizable themes and UI, Internet browser and High Definition Blu-Ray playback.

Thats alot of updates.

But the PS4 has minimal updates and even removes features.

The graphical jump is around 25%. The customizable interface is gone, the music and movie storage is gone, the playstation network remains largely the same, there's no new home entertainment format support like 3D Blu Ray and the internet browser is largely the same.

The new features is basically just being able to capture in-game playback and screenshots and the new controller redesign, it remains to be seen if the touchpad and/or light bar will even be utilised by developers or end up like Six-Axis.

The rest is simply refinements to features present but a pain to use on PS3 like being able to download updates without having to leave the system running or stop playing a game and social media capatibility

Perhaps i'm expecting too much out of the box but it's kindof a let down especially for the price. Hopefully now that the PS4 has become sich a hit new features that make it feel like a new generation machine will start rolling out

I hate to agree with you, but I do. My ps3 is getting waaay more play these days.

I can't imagine why...oh yeah, its been out for years longer than the month plus old PS4

for sure..you have to give it a little time. Launch titles are almost always the weakest games a console will have to offer. Even Killzone was rushed a bit to be a launch title. The proper next gen titles are coming and when they get here, the generation gap will be more obvious. It might not blow minds, but it'll be easy enough to see.

Um, once again I agree with what "you" are also saying. But all the same, I am also a little letdown for other reasons (which he explained) that you are clearly not seeing. All you're seeing is the starting lineup for games. I already realized that would be kind of weak, but just not this weak/broken.

Yeah dude the first ps3 games looked like ***. Also most of the ps4 features haven't been switched on and who knows what they'll add.

Infanct the ps3 didn't have half of its features when it released!

Yeah just wait, it'll get better & better. I was reading a review about both the Ps4 & Xbox & the reviewer was saying how hard it is to review consoles like these because there going evolve so much over time so basically were buying into a promise.

So how do you edit video captures?

I had an awesome round of BF3, saved it, went to upload it to FB but there was no option of editting it

When you press the share button and choose which video to upload, I believe you press options or preview to edit.

While I didn't spend proper time with the editing it looked like you can only cut from tue beginning or end. Not the middle

You can edit it from anywhere in the video. You can pick the start and end points.

Wow man, you can even customize the background and stuff?
No Dynamic Themes?
That's one thing I love about my system when it's on.
That would suck. That would make feel very stale and generic.

When I get one I'm gonna be bummed, I can put my fave bad *** themes on there.

What's annoying is bought or DLC avatars (connected to your PSN I.D) aren't to be found in the avatar selection. I had to go back to my PS3 change the avatar and then back to the PS4 where it updates

Lucky for me Argos had some in stock on their site, so I've got my Christmas present arriving Monday.

Shame I won't be able to use it for another week. Already made the space for it on my desk and resorted all my wiring.

Was at HMV in Oxford street today looking in the games section, a guy asked for the PS4 and was told it was out of stock but said they've got some Xboxs available :monkey1

Game & HMV at Thurrock Lakeside had Ps4's available but like that Xbox it'll be an expensive bundle. You will be very lucky to pick up the standard package. Especially from them 2 stores

CeX had both but marked up at I think Ps4 £520 & Xbox £550
