Yep, I don't remember it being a huge problem, but I always use a lot of heat if it seems like its gonna be a problem!

Probably a stupid question, but does heating certain parts ever affect the sculpt quality or detail? If you know what I mean. Waiting on P1 to arrive, and hoping to pick up a Lost pred when got spare cash. Just curious any way for future...

Cheers!

Extreme heat will warp the hard plastic parts such as the body (but I'm talking heat gun here which is overkill for figures), but the softer armor and head sculpts will only get softer with full and direct hairdryer heat and return to their originally casted position. It will have no effect on the surface detail, but a heat gun could melt or burn it. Hairdryers are useful for stretching softer plastics and vinyl parts to fit. If you want to semi-permanently bend a part, you can heat it, position it where you want it, and hold it under cold water to immediately stiffen and lock it into place. Parts that are softer even at room temps may eventually drift back to their original position, especially on a warm day.

Some old pics from long ago that I snapped with a point and shoot, so forgive the quality.

kool pictures, love them.
how hard was it to fasten all the belts on your elder? did you heat and pull them together ?or what ?

I just pulled until they eventually snapped. I had to pull quit a bit, but I didn't need to use heat. Probably would have been a bit easier, but I didn't feel it really needed it like the shin armour did.
