Is the higher-than-expected price partly because of the interchangeable hands? We didn't get them with Kit Fisto, who also had uniquely sculpted "alien" hands. They have to produce a whole new set of hands that will never be used again with other characters. I guess that the more unique parts that have to be made for a figure, the higher the cost. Would you rather pay a little less and have no options for changing the hands?

$60? The price has definitely gone up, even though they said it wouldn't. This is $50 easy and it doesn't even come with that many accessories.

I agree. There can be no doubt now: they're milking it.

Now we should DEFINITELY demand a better base body... and we shoudn'
t have to pay a penny more for it, either.

What's up with stiffin us for 10 extra bucks SS?

Anyway, I got one. Good news with force wielding right AND left hands. I just posted asking for that in the suggestion thread the other day. Now they just need to include them with some human characters. Still, not worth an extra 10 bucks.

No, the higher price is a trend. Look at Bib and Boussh.

:(

Wow! In and out. Don't think it took 3 minutes. Would've liked to see more accessorys offered with him though. If they choose the gauntlet, why not add the 2 bandoliers? Maybe they could offer future accessory sets for all the Jedi from the Clone Wars. Something like this from Expanded Universe or Concept Art could be generic and pretty easy to slip onto the 12" figures. Something like what Hasbro did when they offered their Clone Wars 3 3/4 figures (non-animated). Obi-Wan and Anakin had headgear, bandoliers, and backpacks. Mace had wrist gauntlets. Hell, even Yoda had a battle-vest.

Not to mention they are using the majority of Mace's outfit and Kit's lightsaber.

This is definitely one that I will likely end up cancelling the Exclusive and ordering the regular edition from another retailer. $59.99 is for this figure is not cool.

Fastest I've ever gotten through on a PPO, but I hesitated a few moments when I saw that $59.99.

That doesn't add up. They are already making ONE set of unique hands for a figure like this. Adding one or two more should not raise the price.

Just trying to think of some reason why he is more than Kit...

A thanks to Sideshow for listening to our complaints about Kit Fisto and giving the unique Plo Koon the necessary number of hands! :D

Maybe the higher cost is because of the very low ES of 1,500. They can't spread the cost out over another 1,000 figures like they did Ex. Kit.

I see what you are saying. An extra set of hands would be sculpted differently and thus require a new mold. Duh! :D

You may have a point, but I still don't agree with the price increase extra set of hands or not. On top of that, the outfit and lightsaber are still wrong.

You know the reason. SSC knows they can milk SW collectors for an additional $5-10 per figure.

Like Tom said look at the overall extra figure. He actually is more detailed than Kit who has been the most difficult Jedi. He has 2 regular lightsabers plus the wrist thing which is very detailed. This guy probably should be the most exspensive one so far. Plus there is only 1500 of him if they did an extra 1k which is where they've been lately I'd say the prices drops $5.
