They're obviously adding extra onto the shipping quotes to pad their profit margins, which I'm sure is 100% legal. :lol

:lol I think that's what those guys think is happening and who really knows?

Hmm... still on the waitlist for the exclusive. How much longer do you guys think I should hold out for?

If you are desperate to get Ivy I would check the product page for the Reg daily. If you see a Less the 50 remaining pop up PULL the trigger. Yes your Waitlist could convert, but then you could just ask them to move your NRD over to the EX. A lot of guys give hope to conversions, weeks and MONTHS after a sell out when honestly it is impossible to tell. If this piece has ANY major QC issues the number of regs could drop as SSC raids them to FILL the Ex returns list. I honestly think that is why the Black Widow Regsold out so fast after release. I think they raided the regular statues to replace the Ex bodies with Brocken hips.
Just pay attention and get ready to he a reg in a hurry.
Come on you know patients is key. For such a big ES you will convert with ease. I guarantee you will.

Oh I LIKE this ... You "guarantee" he will eh??? So if his Waitlist doesn't convert what is your back up for if your "guarantee" is just you blowing smoke out your **** chute?? I know, it should be if he misses out in a regular you SELL him YOUR EX IVY at RETAIL..

CBG you know I think you Awesome, BUT you are Vet to a lot of the Newbs here, and while you are good hearted and all they DON'T know that you can't back up your guarantee and that you are just being your normal positive... Maybe nieve ... Self. If TDA's Waitlist doesn't convert and he didn't buy a reg because he listened to you, how would you make that right?

Understand we newbs listen to the vets for advice, I know you know what that is like, so honestly you should measure hat you say. Don't write a cheque that you can't cash m8, especially with a newb.

Didn't you think the same thing with the Joker EX?

He is always SO positive ... I like it, but it needs to have limits.

Ink do you work for a large business that does a lot of shipping whether via UPS or FedEx? Regardless of whether the negotiated rates can only last so long, I personally think that the Dredd Exclusive box was large and heavy and that was shipped to me less than six months ago. The shipping rate jump was noticeable.

like sideshow has any say on what UPS and Fedex decide to do

I hope one of the Aussie members here contacts sideshow about the ridiculous postage rates

Sent an e-mail, I also besides just asking "why?" asked them to confirm the dimensional shipping weight as it seems Massive.

I would love to think that this is all down to an error in box dimensions being quoted to the carrier.

I certainly do not believe SS are trying to squeeze more profit out because lets be honest, they have no problem adding $50 -$70 to statues that are popular characters up front so no need for back handed tactics I would think.

Would be funny if all those people complaining of smaller and smaller boxes has resulted in them reverting to larger boxes for shipping which we are now paying for.

So the statue is shipping on May 20th?

I still haven't paid my last two payments yet, and shipping cost is $40? Geez Louize...

The dimensional weight is somewhere around 38 pounds, so this box must be massive. IIRC, the Dimensional Weight of The Joker was 12 pounds (The Item itself weighed 15, but the dimensions were enough to make Dimensional weight 12).

I'm guessing that they couldn't figure out a way to package this economically, hence the massive shipping charges.

So much for past experience and R&D :monkey2

And who knows if they've already hit the limit of what the shippers are willing to give them?

exactly....UPS and Fedex are probably tired of eating the extra costs of these boxes. they probably have entire trucks and planes with nothing but SS boxes. when the grey hulk comiquette came, the box was almost as big as the driver
