Love this line... but I really wish they made the bases more consistent! Like a swap out base. O_O

I like the variety better. It looks so much better when they are displayed together and they have different bases. That is why I dislike most of the Marvel stuff they put out with the same damn base.

I do my best not to display them close to each other. I think I may even look into pedestals of some kind once I have enough to dress a room with them.

Agreed, the base is unique and representative of the character.

This is one of the best looking DC lineup I have ever seen. Can I dare to say its better then SSC Marvel statues :panic:

I just don't get that face. I want to like it, but ugh...

I might as well get it though, it's not like they're going to do another Ivy any time soon (or in the next 10 years probably).

Just received mine and she's gorgeous!! I don't really have a great camera, or know how to add pictures (and I guess I'd need permission anyway, so it'd likely take too long compared to the long-time members who will be receiving theirs in the next day or two, so I'll just write about the piece itself! :))

I just unboxed her and set her up, and unlike some she just slid right into position for me. Upon first scanning, she's got the best paint job I could've hoped for. The only thing I can notice is that on the front of her bangs there's literally a small dot of unpainted red. Incredibly minor, and even I -- with no skill -- can ever so gently tap it with the tip of a paint brush. And that's not a complaint, it's more of a relief :)

Also, the left side where her hair connects (she comes in one piece, but as you can see in some pictures there are two lines on each side of her hair and under her neck where they snapped them together) is a few millimeters apart. Again, very minor and likely nit-picky to some. Again, that's not a complaint, just pointing out the very minor things I noticed, as people seem to like to hear of any issues.

The skin is painted beautifully, her eyes are fantastic, the green on her legs is superb and the leaves look amazing. I'm also completely ecstatic that the paint on my statue seems to go as close to the skin as possible in both the stomach area (the leaves are painted right down the sides amazingly, with no sloppy smears onto her stomach. And her hair is the same, painted right down the side to her skin with no spillage. Expert craftsmanship and I'm thrilled to see it!

The vines on her legs are also extremely well done. It's one of those things that when you see it in person (unless some are just worse than mine) that you can completely understand 100% how hard it'd be to actually paint them without getting some onto the legs. The legs are so vital to be smooth and clean that it's amazing how well they did the vines as is!! I don't think anyone will complain once they see it -- unless, of course, they were done poorly.

The sculpt is absolutely ravishing! This is a statue that anyone who ordered will be extremely happy they did, and if you haven't, I'm positive that pictures and word of mouth will cause her to sell out within the year (I'm rather new so I'm not sure how fast things fly off shelves when they don't initially sell out; however, I think this one will be on the faster side of the fence!)

The base is gorgeous, and her shoes are fantastic as well. The vines snap into place easily and everything looks flawless. People complain about the bases, and how they differ; though when you see it in person I think everyone will fall in love with this one. I think it works perfectly at the size it is, and if it were any bigger it'd actually detract from the piece itself, as Ivy is a curvy -- yet not bulky -- figure, who sits on it perfectly.

Now I can confirm that the regular edition gets the extra grinning head which was not initially advertised, and I'm grateful for it, as it really looks great with the smaller head. Again, I would've been happy wither way, as I loved the regular regardless and came late to the game and missed the EX. THAT SAID, those who got the EX do not need to complain at all! I can tell just from looking at mine now that the open mouth head would look absolutely FANTASTIC on this piece! That was the crown jewel the entire time, and had Sideshow said from the start that all that the EX had was the open mouth, odds are everyone still would've jumped on it that did. The open mouth plant alone makes the EX worthwhile, and while it might have cost some of you extra, I know for a fact that when you get it in-hand, you'll be thrilled you pulled the trigger to get the open mouth plant.

Overall I'd rate Ivy an easy 4.5/5. She's stunning and Sideshow did a phenomenal job with her! I'm more than happy that I picked her up, and I can't wait for Batman in the near future to add to my collection! Congrats to everyone that picked her up, and to those on the fence, pictures don't do her justice! Pull the trigger -- you won't want to miss this one!
