This is tough...the Terminator figures are top notch but the Mark I is an engineering wonder. AND VADER came out this year, and he is the sh_t. IMO, Vader is just too cool for school. Even though there are more technical achievements from 2009 as a whole.

Since this poll is more a figure line of the year than an actual figure, I went with GI Joe. But Jack Bauer is one of the most impressive figures I have in terms of realisim, but his articulation sucks and it also sucks that Palmer isn't the proper height in relation to him. The Joe line has been a home run one right after the other.

Much as I love my Joes, and though I don't have him in hand yet, the Thriller MJ is such a great idea and such a cool, great looking toy that it gets my vote.

No, The polls I posted are supposed to be for figure of the year. With only ten options, I extended the polls to specific lines, trying to include more figures. It's the best I could do. Have a vote, or not, and state which, out of a group, your pick happens to be.

It's not necessarily the Hot Toys version. The people who voted may have meant the Medicom version. As always, preferences are personal, so rather than knock someone elses opinion, state your own. Worst figure of the year is a good idea for a poll.

Of course everyone who doesn't find an option applicable to them, have the option of starting your own poll, including other great figures, not mentioned, or mentioned already. I was expecting someone to do just that. Go for it.

i LOVE all the GI Joe figures but i'm gonna have to say the John Connor for the win! he just looks incredible!!

Yeah trying to pick a single 'best' figure of '09 is harder than picking a broken nose.

There are just so many great figures this year. Easily the best year for 1/6 ever!

I think any of the Terminator: Salvation line could take the title. But if I had to choose my favourite it would be the T600: weathered skin

I'm not a fan of 24, but Enterbay's Jack Bauer and President Palmer figures were simply amazing to behold.

But that said, why is Hot Toys Don Corleone not on this bloody list!?!

He could have been a contender.
