Poll: Star Wars vs LOTR Movies

Not sure if this one has been done before, but I thought it would make an interesting poll. The poll is the 3 LOTR flicks vs. the first SW trilogy.

As iconic in americana as SW is I gotta give my vote to the 3 LOTR flicks. Taking into account special fx from 30 years ago vs today's cgi I still think LOTR gives a stronger media experience.

I love both, but I'll always pick SW first.

This is an easy on for me..LOTR all the way!! I loved the first SW trilogy and it was definitely awe-inspiring when it first hit theaters...but the story behind LOTR (and the fact that I loved the books dearly) is what puts it ahead of the pack for me. I've seen LOTR more times than I can count and never get tired of it...SW I could probably count on 2 hands.

Interesting system... For me it would be:

ROTJ>ROTK>ESB>FOTR>ANH>TT

SW = 12 and LOTR = 9

Yeah, I was almost 18 when Star Wars came out! My best friend owned his own comic book shop (well, that's what we called it anyway) and we went around to all the grocery stores, drug stores and convenience stores buying the first issues of the Marvel comic. By the time the movie was a sensation, that first issue was worth about $25!
