Sideshow's doesn't look great in comparison but the Sideshow Ex still gets well above retail.

yeah it sure does cost $$$..some even consider it a grail..also it features; interchangeable hand, featuring the deadly metal spike..a working thigh holster with room for his Auto-9 pistol and several interchangeable hands...base is cool too...etc..etc..

Does PCS Robo have these features??

No but it looks more like Robocop.

Ill have the new HT for all the features

In all honesty its not fair to compare the two anyway. The quality of products has increased quite a bit in the past few years

You would hope quality has improved. :lol...But some things in the past can still remain better. Let's not get carried away and totally destroy the SS Robo to a worthless statue. It still has features that this statue doesn't. Still a great piece in my opinion.

Im gonna stand by what I said its not fair to compare them and really arguing over isnt worth it. There are merits to each piece, I can understand wanting the original i personally just prefer the PCS one.

In general I would say the quality of sculpts has improved with collectibles these days. Thats not to say everything old is terrible but facts are facts.

yes the facts are the facts! I now own the SS EX and PCS EX:mwaha that a fact :hi5:

I ordered an EX too. Wow. My ROBOCOP display is going to be massive with a HT Robo and ED-209, Enterbay Robo, and now this.

The SSC one is older for sure but it does not hold up IMO. The proportions are all wonky on it

I so hate SS Robocop.
I have a hard time believing some fans can like it.

Well I sold my SS Robocop to help fund this new PCS version. I've had the Robocop packed away in its shipper for over a year and I remember how much I loved it when I first got it. It wasn't until taking it out the box to inspect it before selling it that I noticed how out of proportion various parts of his body are, notably the head. Its frickin way too big compared to his body! Plus you had all the issues with the arms never staying in position due to weak joints plus how difficult was it to get the leg/gun compartment open :gah: Happy to see the back of mine in the end as this new PCS version really does look fantastic! Now the wait begins :impatient:

Fair enough mate, I still like the old SS Robo...and I have to say your photos look crap using that effect. You won't win any awards as a photographer. Don't be offended:lol

Don't get me wrong, I like the PCS Robo..otherwise I would not have ordered it...its a killer pose... however at least SS had the guts to give us those features. And they did this years years ago...so yeah of course things can go wrong with moving parts. But in my opinion for a Robo statue it is awesome options to have. And those features of Robo were a huge part of the movie!

PCS should have had more guts and to give similar features also. They played it very safe. The only thing that can go wrong will go wrong...the light on the base will be the first to go

Maybe u will be back here in a few yrs selling PCS Robo to get the newer and bigger Robo toy..?

I'm deeply offended dude...I've been a pro photographer for almost 3 years!!!! :lecture

:lol :lol only kidding :lol i know mate was never good at pics although I am learning...here are the originals ;)

Either way, the whole figure is completely out of proportion but each to their own...that's what's good about this hobby...contrary to what people on here like to believe, there is no wrong or right - we all have different tastes, likes and dislikes...my comments are my own and not that of others so if i usually don't like a piece then i'll sell it or not buy it in the first place ;)

I hear you bro :duff

Oh yeah, now it looks way better lol
Robocop under meth lol
No seriously , maybe it wasn't meant to be a movie accurate statue but rather a Robocop cartoon statue
And it could explain it's popularity over those who were kids watching the TV show back then.
Or may be not.
