I know that Poptoys figures usually sell out pretty quickly and can be hard to find after the preorder period. But of the three background Ashigaru Poptoys made from the Last Samurai, the Ashigaru Wei / EX046 is the hardest to find. The few places that had him still in stock informed me that they didn't actually have him after I already ordered, and they had to cancel my order.
The only place he's available is on Ebay for $700+ USD. Most of the listings have outrageous shipping prices like $200+.
In contrast the other Ashigaru are still relatively easy to find, I bought them both on Aliexpress for ~$300 each and there are plenty available all over the internet. You can even find the Nathan Algren deluxe version cheaper than Bob.
Why is this one so hard to find? I don't think Bob was necessarily a more popular or prominent character in the film than Nakao (EX044)
