I don't really get the issue with pick ups? :lol That's how our dads did it back in the day, but it's ridiculous how men are now expected to emasculate themselves for some reason.

I mean, it's totally wrong if someone's harassing a woman, or won't leave her alone, as several of those dudes were clearly doing that. But, most of those guys were just saying "hi" (albeit, a bit awkward while doing it).

while I mostly agree with the guy, except for the fact that women are asking for attention by the way they dress. granted there are a few creeps in that video (the guy that just kept walking by her). The PSA, or whatever it is doesn't really make much of a point, 9/10 guys were just complimenting her.

There's a difference between being a feminist and a complete ****ing moron. :lol

I don't know, maybe we'll never truly get it because we're dudes. Can you imagine being a decent-looking young woman, let alone a pretty one, how much attention, whether it's stares, come-ons or more you'd get every day, especially from average-looking guys?

Think if the roles were reversed. Imagine walking down the street and getting stares, hoots, whispers and compliments from, not Victoria's Secret Angel-types, but homely/Plain Jane types. Maybe it'd be flattering the first hour, but day after day? :dunno

OK...back on track.

Here's the Liz Claman flash pic for all the horndogs out there.

The girl in that video isn't trying to get attention by wearing a skin-tight v-neck though. :dunno

her shirt looks pretty tight to me

Also people were saying on the comments that not only they chose the bad parts of town to do this but they cut out all the white guys, so, yeah...

there's also this...

Neither of those women are dressed "sexy" like that v-neck-sporting beefcake was.

I didn't hear that they did this in bad parts of town or that they cut out all the white guys on NPR (In fact I think this specific question was asked in the interview I heard, and they denied it claiming they did the experiment in mostly well-known areas), but I guess Youtube comments are more trustworthy.

Another thing to consider about this whole situation is rape. Women are quite a bit more likely to get raped than men are, believe it or not, and having guys hoot and holler at you, follow you, ask for your number, etc while you're simply walking down the street in normal everyday clothing, knowing full well what it could lead to, can be kinda scary.

I'm pretty sure 6'+ beefcake v-neck guy will never have to worry about being raped.
