Finally worked up the nerve to watch this one.

While I agree that it doesn't belong in this thread, I have no hate for the deer. Not sure how it ended up in a residential area, but you can't blame it for following instinct to protect it's defenseless young. :

Right, you can't blame the deer, but I can't believe that no one at least tried to help that dog. I mean, put the damn camera down and scare off the deer!

My dad has a cleaning business, and one of his accounts used to be an apartment complex in the "ghetto" where people aren't used to wildlife. The back apartment building had a wooded area behind it and there was always vacancies in that building because people would see deer there and they were afraid to let their kids play outside.

That building would have been my first choice if I had to live there. But I grew up in the country.

Point is, people fear what they don't understand. The people in the video were clearly distraught, but hadn't considered the option of rushing the deer.

To be honest I don't know what I would have done. Even though under normal circumstances a deer would run from a person, they might react differently is they were protecting their young.

A wild animal is a wild animal.
