post your "will I or won't I" toy dilemmas

Oooh thanks for the responses and anyone do feel free to use this thread for your own 'what to do' issues with collecting.

I just cancelled my Lost Predator. My list is still immense but by cancelling him I rule out some future expense on the inevitable additions to the Lost hunter ranks. I can also rule out the P2 elder from my list - I probably don't even need to cancel it - forbidden planet won't get any of these back in stock - they declined to admit this in their response to my email but I know it won't happen at this point. So thats 2 down. Since I missed the P2 Elder there has seemed no point in getting the Borg predator. To buy that would just put emphasis on the hole left unfilled by the Elder - much the way my Hudson and Drake figures, though cool, remind me I don't have Hicks, Apone and Vasquez. I have both versions of the excellent P2 though and that was the important one. I definitely don't intend to miss any P1 figures.

My list as it stands now:

- P2 elder predator - won't happen anyway
- Kane - really want
- Dallas - really want (I'd regret not getting both)
- Sideshow excl. Cleaner kit Predator - want unmasked display piece
- Dog Alien - I like Alien3, want the title character
- Lost predator - cancelled
- Iron Man - the figure just looks too cool not to have - probably the only ironman product I'll get
- TDK Batman - loved the film, the figure looks great, methinks TDK completism has taken hold to the point I'd regret not having this
- The Joker - this will arrive shortly I expect
- Batpod - I'd regret not having this too
- Tumbler - Absolutely must have, it'll be the singlemost expensive thing I've ever bought but its just too cool
- TDK Batman original suit (2nd wave) wanting a 2nd one of these to put inside the Tumbler really pushed me to cancel the lost predator- its an amazing figure and I'll be more comfortable having a 2nd should something terrible befall one of them
- Hasbro BMF Millenium Falcon - collecting these since 1995, and this is simply, most definitely, a must-have

Thanks for the input GordonGekko, but unfortunately I do care about the boxes and the thrill of being the person that opens them - in any case the only person I know in America is my Aunt who lives in Seattle - I'd feel pretty wierd asking her to take delivery of all my toys, not to mention not really trusting her to repackage them.

If I was you, I would keep that Lost Predator order, and dump all that Batman stuff

Or maybe your some hardcore Batman Nut or something ?

I wish I had it in me to do that, that'd be significantly less expenditure than keeping all the batman stuff and cancelling only 1 figure.

I'm not actually a hardcore batman nut believe it or not, don't know much about the graphic novels - just really liked nolans films - he is the coolest superhero and damned hot toys had to go and make the definitive figures of the character and now all his hardware. Got the Original suit figure the other day and its amazing.

Yeah. As a star wars collector (aswell! and before any of this) I'm always buying figures who, when watching the films you'd miss if you blinked but they're only 10euro. This guy was in P2 for about 5 seconds and he costs over a hundred euro. Of all the things I buy and the insane amount of money I'm spending - he was the most obvious choice to get knocked from my list.

Of course I'd never be insane enough to buy one of those extortionate maquettes!!

Medicom Alien...

I have Hur buiding a Vader fig for me. But for the Med Alien well I don't know due to the $$$. I am selling most of my collection of figures that I really don't want anymore, including the HT ALIENS warrior. So right now I have to wait a little bit I guess...

thats too bad you had to cancel the Predator. i have a feeling you'll regret it later. with the popularity of these things he'll only go up in value... i'm thinking about getting the iron man figure too...just because he lights up and looks awesome. i just got a message from my parents that my batman figures have arrived at their house so i will be driving down and picking them up this weekend.
