potential 2009 AvP 3 movie?

Theres TWO movie series being used here. The ALIEN series and the PREDATOR series. Now lets compare them first before I get into my point....

Alien. The movie that changed the way we look at horror. Its a brilliant film, all the actors are at the top of thier game. The entire movie is just spooky, you have no idea whats coming next. The Alien itself is something thats....wow. The thing is a scary psycho space rapist, thats what scary about it. Ripley is a person you care about, you dont want the Alien to get her.

Aliens is diffrent, but has a similer feel. It goes more on the action side, and its amazing.

Alien 3 has the tragic, lonely feeling that overshadows the movie. Much like in the last 17 minutes of Alien.

Res is a total Action fun movie. Great visual style.


Predator. True 80's action fun. Fun characters, fun setting, and a great looking monster.

Predator 2. Its just plain fun!


Now look, I love ALL the (original) movies, but when you put them togeather, you should have a great combo of genres.

See, with the Alien side, you should get a scary, uneasy feeling. The movie should scare you, the Alien should do things to people that would make you sick. (see Lambert tail scene). With the Predator side, you should get that action side, now with the Alien side, the fun gets cancelled out. Every creature needs its shining moment. None of this "ONE PREDATOR" or "ONE ALIEN". Because that would be biased as hell.

Which is why the AvP movies dont work with directors who favor one creature over the other.

Point is, no one gets how to do these movies. Not you Predator fans, and not some Alien fans. Heck, im not even sure I KNOW how to do these. And that is why they shouldnt be made. You can say im ruining your fun, well, too bad. I cant help be negetive when im watching my favorite monsters fall deeper and deeper into "GENERIC MOVIE MONSTER" territory. Which is what AvP-R is. A generic monster movie. If you took the Alien and Predator out, and added two random monsters, the movie would be the same exact film.

People have different views and opinions than you do. A lot of people in this thread LIKE the AvP movies, if you can't accept that, than please, go make a 'bash' thread and have a ball. I'll stay here, and talk about the movies with other people who enjoy them, and you can ^^^^^ all you want, and there will be no arguing.

How many times now have you stated your case and how many times have you been asked to stop because it's not changing anyone's mind? Hmm?

We all know you YOU don't like them, saying it one time was enough.

But judging by the merchandise that has been sold, the millions the movies have made, and the interest with other people for a third movie, obviously people feel differently than you do.

I would like a whole four to five comic series of that a lot man. That would be cool.
