Well guys either way its gone!! I would rather spent the money on something worth buying that wows pple and myself. Well time will tell, I know side show and they need to work on the customer is always right especially with putting out this type of stuff.

Ok getting mine tomorrow. I get a feeling that maybe I need have someone repaint that head. Now the question is does the head painted would look much better than that body paint. What do you guys think? I rather not paint the entire body.

Getting the head repainted and adding quills would be a huge improvement.

The body is obscured by netting, which would make it a huge job to paint, so not as big an issue.

The painter would have to be careful to make sure the head paint didn't look TOO different to the body.

Personally - I wouldn't do just THAT if I'd bought one - I'd have the head taken to pieces and adjusted (dreds & quills etc.) as well as repainted. Ditto on the hand/spear. But then you're starting to rack up the big bucks. That is one of the many reasons I didn't reorder once I realised they were not going to address any of the issues.

If they ever decrease this by $500 to clear them (won't happen) I'd reconsider, and would use the savings to go towards making this classy & accurate.

I'd like a nice 1/4 scale P2. This . . . simply . . . isn't (for me).

Someone with the relevant expertise could do it without causing damage necessitating a medium/major repaint as well.

hmmm surprises me... I have disagreed with him before and he has been cool about it. He tries to keep the page fairly calm. He was super pissed about his Grey Hulk but even took down his thread because many said that they thought he got a bad one so he took it down so it would not discourage other people who still had yet to get theirs and h didn't want to start a panic... Not really an ego there..

But his comment was a bit short.. Like I said.. It surprises me but it's not like I am best buds with the guy

Have to say - this has been damn good fun over the last couple of days.

Coincided with me taking a much needed break as well, so I was able to be a bit more involved.

Really looking forward to some more exchanges as others get theirs in.

I'll have to start making a list of who actually kept their order AND are keeping the wee beastie.

And (once again) - I REALLY hope that those of you who get it ARE happy with what you receive.

Can you guys show a novice pred collector what you are exactly talking about? I have no idea what to tell the the custom painter! How hard a job can it be?

I see!! But the proto didnt have it!
I guess if you want to make it a bit more accurate and yes it would make a big difference. Now the question is who sells them? I do have access to a digital printer so its not too hard to do but how many sizes and shapes? This can get complicating, but not impossible. I am uncertain if it would be worth it for me, but I can see it for you hardcore P guys who would want it done.

I have to admit, I am so happy I went with my 'gut feeling' and did not preorder the EX. The paint applications on this look like a high-school art project.
The sculpt was great IMHO, and when I saw Sideshow's "production piece" I was tempted again to order. I am glad that I waited to see in-hand pictures. It is sad that we are at the point where we just expect subpar production pieces from Sideshow.

Hi all,

As you can see this is my first post and I just joined the forum tonight. I am a huge predator fan and collector, but that said it seems like sideshow are slowly but surely slipping with every statue they make (I won't go into their attempts at 1/6 figures) and it's getting worst and worst. This attempt at the city hunter is an absolute fail and they should be ashamed of themselves for even releasing the statue in the first place, now there are going to be people for the the statue and against the statue, but I feel this will never be a grail piece at all (unless your not a predator diehard this statue will look awesome in you're eyes) and compared to the p1 and the wolf lsf this has no place in my collection as a diehard fan. The paint job is hideous to say the least, now if they nailed the paint job I think even the diehards could have dealt with all the inaccuracies such as quills, the pose of the leg, the spear and so on............but the only good thing to come out of this is we have other companies out there that are giving top quality statues and figures and this has to be a good thing and MIGHT wake Sideshow from that coma they are in and make them the colossus of a statue company they once were or if not they will sink like the titanic like so many before them. I'm keeping my predator 2 maquette because I am a die hard fan and know that half of the Predator statues made are not accurate or have flaws. GTFOH......you saying the same BS everyone said 200 pages ago.

Well he is Bryan Mark of BMR productions who said this, was pretty pissed off at the time on what he said, talk about an ego trip saying do some research etc etc etc to justify the price on this piece, yes I am buying it but still giving my view on this piece

Now I remember about him. Got an argument with him a few months ago in his group, right about this statues. I pointed out the inaccuracies and he and other sycophants started attacking me with utter bulls--t like "how can you tell he has quills? hurr durr". Posted examples from the very Sideshow LSB, screens of the movie, examples of the screen used masks and so on. They just didn't want to hear it was all "the movie is so dark I can't even tell the difference lolol herp derp".
Basically he (and many others) already decided months ago that this was absolutely perfect and a complete grail. I agree that he's usually a cool person but this bulls--t makes his opinion on the piece just biased.
Same goes for a ton of other people who know jack about the character and will boast around the usual themes ("It's big! It has presence! The ES is low!") or people who will praise it but deep down know that they just paid a ton of money for an unaccurate and badly painted maquette.
