The trophy cabinet was cool, a shame some of the rest of the movie was poorly directed.

I was around 12, my dad told my mother we were going to see some kids movie. And instead took me to see Predator 2 . That was the first crazy violent movie i had seen and it blew my mind. So its hard for me not to like the movie now. And I think the creature design for the Predator may even top the first design, very different and cool. The designs Stans studio was pumping out in those days blows my mind.

You can watch Predator 1 & 2 back to back and feel like your getting somthing different and new out of the sequel. Unlike the new Predator/Alien films which are so concered with paying homage you might as well just watch the originals. These days its allmost like the studios are saying "hey remember when we could make good sci fi movies...in case you dont we are going to play it safe and remind you every other scene".

Imo compared to the crap we are getting today its a masterpeice...but thats just me.

Predator 2 gave us ten (ten!) new predator designs from SWS. Ten potential collectibles. Only for that deserves all acknowledgement

In other words, if Predator 2 weren't made, we would have to stick to 3 predator designs

I think there was a great sci-fi movie hidden in AVP:R. Take out the teen stuff/Ripley Clone/Pred alien add in a couple of good male/female action movie stars spend some more cash on production and theres a good sequel to both films.

I watched AvP:R recently with the brightness turned up and watching the unrated version, it was actually a damn good movie. Only thing I didn't like was the annoying teenager, everything else was actually very good.

Yea, i really think they nailed the predator design/personality. I would buy a maquette (1/4th) of him if its ever released.

We need a predator movie with very little human story in it. People can be in the movie as prey, but I'd like the main plot to follow the predator(s).
