Yea, gotta give them a good test before the return period. Defects usually show up quickly. They go for so cheap you probably won't get hurt too bad selling them.

That's a new one on me.

I was looking to sell the 1 & 2 but no chance now.
Why I hate light up features.

It isn't electronics in general, it is cheap electrics. Non of my bios light up anymore. Well maybe the wolf mask, but I can't get the cover off to change the batteries... Doh.

Battery → Wire → LED. Can't be that hard to get right.

Mind you, cheap batteries and cheap magnets are the norm so why would wire and LEDs be any different :slap

Hmmm...all 3 of mine still light up.

Bone Grill, Stalker, and P2 Bio.
Still on the look out for a cheap P1 Bio.

It applies to most. Majority of failures happen right away or they usually last the expected life. "cheap" electronics are more random of course and SS uses VERY cheap components. All my bio lights still work, but I don't use them that much.

Battery tray, switch, solder points, solid state LED board too. Lots of failure points when using cheap components and with almost everything hidden makes it hard to fix. I don't know why they don't make it more accessible, not like the underside is winning any beauty contents. I am working on fixing a switch in one right now as a matter of fact.

Between this and the HCG, obviously most here seem to agree the HCG is better. I just came across an unpainted cast on Etsy that looks to be from the HCG. It's like $130, too, so it would def be worth it if a good paint app could be achieved. My question would be, what is it made of and how how easy would it be to make a stand for it?

I wouldn't buy it.
By the time you got it painted, Installed lenses, and made some sort of a decent stand, you might as well get the HCG. You can get one for around 250-300 when they pop up on ebay. And they have working lights.

...and licensed. Arent those unpainted/raws, just some recast someone did? Or are they supposed to be legit recast?

I'll def have to give ebay more love. Last few I saw were in the $600 range. :gah:
