Statue Predator 2 Legendary Scale Bust

Anyone who manages to 'fix' the bold triangles please post pictures.
I really want this but want it to look better at the same time.

It's pretty clear that these two guys are idealized versions ergo makes no sense talking about scales.

That is incorrect. They're both in the LSB line and in the movies both Preds were pretty much the same size. You may be correct when talking about the colors or the design in terms of being idealized, but scale is scale.

I gotta say this one has grown on me more due to other pics...I'm starting to like it...I would do a repaint/touch up on the crown though

Yea both of the Predators were played by the same actor so it should be around the same size. That said I believe the P2 Head was a bit larger and longer due to the redesign.

I agree that the head crest seemed bigger for P2 but when these two are side by side the size difference is pretty big. Plus, they've elongated the base so P2 literally towers over P1.

Damn, that dome does look awful compared to proto. What a shame...might cancel my ex and lose the deposit. Hopefully they do make an open mandible edition and redeem themselves...

The eyes size & mouth looks the same scale. Maybe because it's a bit elevated (looking at the shoulder levels).
I want to say that we should trust SS research of making this an accurate scale, but after the stupid lazy mistake of the triangles (would love to hear their excuse for this) I'll not be surprised at all if it's indeed the wrong scale.

So far, all the paint on the open ones looked same. And I really don't like it. However, there are really no other good bust for P2 out there, so it hurts to give him up.
Maybe SS will learn this time, and improve on the open mandibles version, who knows. But then again, the wait for that one will kill me. And what if it's messed up again...

This is what pisses me off more than anything - If they were available shortly after release, it would not hurt as much as when we wait, sometimes almost a year of more for an item, just to discover that whoever approved them borrowed their glasses from Mr. Magoo.

Given the overall mixed reception so far to this one, I'm beginning to wonder if Sideshow will even follow through with an open mandibles version.
