I would like a Predator without visible arm joints. Funny they would give Thor rubber arms but still insist on giving all Predators visible jointed arms.

So far the only HT figures I have are the Classic Predator and P2 Elder Predator, both of which use the standard plastic jointed arms. How does the rubber hold up on the figures that use it for their arms? Any major issues with wrinkling, deformation, or degradation?

From personal experience HT rubber bodies seem to hold up quite well. My Leonidas, Dutch & Rambo figures are still fine. One of my Sarah Connors looks like the top pic because I left the elbow in a tight angle pose, which was silly of me :slap, My other S Connor is fine. Most of the rubber issues are related to stress points at the joints. My advice on HT rubber bodies is leave the figure in a pose that dose not stress the rubber out. Unfortunately it hampers the ability to pose the figure as you would like but that's the trade off.

What I like to see in 1/6 and 1/4 (because I know I couldn't turn down 1/4 scale figs of these)

Hot Toys don't do anniversaries or we would have seen something for the Aliens anniversary in 2016 and the BTTF 2015 anniversary. If they won't do one for Aliens or BTTF they certainly won't for Predator.

Yikes... I had heard about the rubber issues with the ED-209 and older Aliens, but I didn't know about the human-type figures and how the rubber used on them turns out. Apparently not well.

Don't believe the hype. There have been some problems but not as much as some people will have you believe.

If you don't pose the arms on a rubber bodied figure you'll be fine... but even if the elbow doesn't tear (which most times it will over time) you'll end up with a weird crease on the top.

The rubber bodies were a great idea, but just don't work. Phicen seems to have figured it out with the Silcone and metal frame bodies they make, but HT does not do well with this kind of stuff.

C'mon HT, give us what we all want for th 30th anniversary, Civi Dutch/Dillon two pack.....

I had one of my phicen rubber clad over metal frame develop a tear. It wasn't a hard bend pose either just posed with cross legs over each other, rip right over the knee. I'm wondering if it was an environment issue (i.e. too hot from forced air furnace) as well.

Yep, I switched my Dutch over to a M-34 Phicen body and it looks awesome. I'm thinking of doing something similar with Hellboy, dye it red, because like you said, it's only a matter of time.

LOL at this thread. We ain't getting ****.

sadly I'm sure we won't. But its a good thread to hear ideas on what people would want to see if HT did.

I can't for the life of me think why Hot Toys wouldn't do anniversary releases unless the license expired. If the license hasn't expired then why not, its a great way to keep milking a license already paid for.

The predator anniversary release could be so many different things. A Jungle Hunter 2.0 , Dutch 2.0, Billy 2.0, Blane, Dillian, Poncho, and Mac. Just to name a few lol.

Same with the Alien anniversary. Doing a Hicks 2.0, or Hudson 2.0 would have been an easy money maker.
