Yeah I know, another noob question. Just got the Cleaner Kit Wolf in the mail. This is my first Pred, and I don't want to screw it up. Anything I should know?

Off the bat, I'm trying to figure out a way to get that netting off the cardboard thing. I'd like to keep the packaging intact, as much as possible. Any advice on this, or anything else?

Thanks in advance!

only did one, the wolf, and boiling water was very helpful. Wish I had a hair dryer.

Take time. Look at directions but don't rely on them to tell you everything. For instance, they have you pop on the head without any mention of his "necklace" which can only be put on with head removed. So rely on box picture and come up with a plan before starting.

I just slightly folded the carded and slid it off pretty easily once you have the back unstrapped. I built two Wolf's already and they were pretty simple to put together. My tip would be to lay every part out and plan which pieces you need to put on first b/c it sucks having everything completed and you forgot to put on his netting and you gotta disassemble the whole thing again or something.

hair dryer was key with my wolf cleaner...one of my bottom armor legs didnt go on all the way, and he was lopsided, I had already put on the feet, and upper thigh pad.. with a few seconds of the hair dryer I was easily able to pop off the feet.

Hair dryer also helped with the bandolier that goes across his chest..

i just went very slow and did it over the course of a few hours one sunday.

Does the hair dryer help with getting the netting on? That's the problem I'm at right now...

I hope you didn't put on any of the limbs yet. The net should be the very first thing you put on. The hair dryer is to get his skirt on after

Nope, net first. It's just a ^^^^^ to get on, and I don't want to force anything and rip it.

I'm very bad at building things. I fear that the original predator (when he is released) will get damaged when i try to put the fig together. HT could easily make these figures a bit more simple to put together.

seriously, why isn't there a sticky topic devoted to HT assembly faqs?

one of these pops up like every month here.

I tried a search, but didn't get anything specific. Could have looked a bit deeper, but my gf needed to work on the computer, so I had limited time. Thought I could assemble the Pred while she worked, looks like I'll have to finish tomorrow!

DUDE i messed my netting up, it bunched up at the shoulder, so yea i havent gotten around to going back and fixing it, but if it doesnt slip on properly dont force it. use a hari dryer for his skirt thing, and the chest piece sling if it doesnt go on properly

:slap...can anyone figure out how to put their dolls together on their own anymore?

it's not rocket science. :duh

I know (maybe) that you're joking, but it's not about figuring it out - it's about doing it without anything breaking!

That's where I left it at yesterday...

I think you're making things more difficult than they need to be. Like everyone said...don't force it, and take your time.

So, you have to basically treat it like a virgin. :lol

So a piece already came off - one of the little clips on his shoulder harness. I see this happened to someone else too, in the Cleaner thread.

At least it's just the glue not really working that well, rather than a part actually breaking, but I'm still kind of ticked off about it. The friggin' thing was softened with hot water too. Maybe the water wasn't so good for it. Anyway, guess I've got to go with this Bondini stuff now... There's a guy on Ebay with four different kinds, anyone know which one to get?

Well, I have never used or would ever use hot water or a hair dryer on my figs. :monkey3
Extreme heat and soft plastic can equate to a very sad monkey. :monkey2
