I feel the same way furious1. I have the exclusive preordered as well. Kinda pissed that Sideshow is making 3000 of these at this price point. Thought at most it would've been 500 exclusive and 1500 for regular. If I could cancel the exclusive without taking a hit on my deposit, I would in a heartbeat.

Besides, I posted on the Predator LSB production blog that I was on to them and it was taking out....

Would have loved this to have been more screen accurate. There maquette and 1:1 bust were so spot on and the LSB seems to bridge the two scales, but compared to their last two offerings it's a bit if a let down. I think i read somewhere that the maquette was laser scaned from the SWS prop. Wish they had employed that tech here. Still a beautiful piece and clearly a predator. Just not the P1 I love and was hoping for.

Like you said, the maquette was a laser scan and the bust was taking from molds, this was hand sculpted from the bottom up. I'm sure SS makes a lot more money when they dont have to pay Legacy to do Pred products for them, so that prolly contributes to the decision cause we all know all SS is about these days is the $$$.

This makes the Exclusive even more Exclusive.

maybe, but a lot of ppl will always hate nameplates as Ex. Can anyone name a product that had a 2000 production difference b/w the Ex and reg ES?

So I asked the following question to SS:

The first Pred in the LSB line looks fantastic so far, but I have to wander, did you guys ever discuss adding a Bio as the Ex on this? I think most people agree, it would have been a home run, but instead you guys took the typical nameplate route. I think people would have plucked down a little more to get a swappable head or at least have a Bio to display next to it (as a nameplate does). Thoughts?

Yes, we do have some continuing conversations about how to best offer the Bio for the Legendary Scale Bust line. We considered making the Bio a swap out, but it would so very compromise the face of the predator – there’s some engineering that just wouldn’t work without closing the mandibles and dumbing down a lot of the facial spike detailing and other bits, and it felt like the priority needed to be on the Predator’s butt-ugly likeness. For folks that are die-hard Bio fans, we do have a plan, and we’ll reveal all in due time. It’s NOT a swappable head, though, and we think you’ll understand why after seeing this piece in person.

Maybe those SDCC exclusives we were wondering about will include some LSB-scale helmets? Sure would explain that P1 shape we saw in the sillhouette picture.

Well, i'm not going to buy 1:2 scale Bios unless they can go on the LSB. It'd be cool if it had been the exclusive.

They seem to be hinting at the fact that we'll end up preferring them seperate. Perhaps they'll sculpt the details on the inside of the bio? In that case, a seperate 1/2 scale Predator helmet would look great in a collection, LSB or not.

I agree with SS in that designing the LSB with a removable bio would compromise the sculpt. I love the way it looks as it is now.

If they are hinting at a bio only piece, well, I don't find a bio appealing if it's anything less than 1:1.

as much as I love the predator, I have no urge to own the various stand alone bios. There cool, I just wouldnt drop cash on them.

If they cost around $60 - $100 each, I wouldn't mind having a wall full of 1:2 bios of Lost Clan, P1, P2.. What it lacks in size, you can make it up in numbers, I think it would look real bad ass to have all those bios displayed together.

Agreed i have most of the Predator Masks from the movies in 1:1 scale im not sure i would really want a 1:2 one to do the same thing at this point.
