Anyone order and have had yours delivered from Darkfigures.com yet?

My order status was listed as being shipped about a fortnight ago but has since been changed to processing.

I got my replacement. This time 3 dreads were broken but I can glue those its not a big deal so Im keeping this one. I originally got 125/500 and my replacement also says 125/500 so I guess they just took a non exclusive one and made it exclusive?

@ Chaver. I would get the Predalien bust while you can. I love mine, it has a simple paint job but the size of the thing is awesome, no regrets buying it and the dome is awesome.

Well, I gone through with getting the Predalien bust man. And boy am I getting a deal on it. My local LCS is offering me $1250 out the door. No tax. No shipping charge. Can't beat that! I drop $400 on it tomorrow. It'll probably arrive within a couple of weeks. I think I'm gonna start getting all my big stuff from my LCS, ____ sideshow and there reward points. Those reward points dont add to $140 as it does with the free shipping I'm getting. I'm obviously gonna wait for in hand pics before I order because the LCS isn't going to let me return it.

I'm sending my LSB back as soon as they email me with instructions and putting the money towards my Predalien. It's a cool bust but it can wait. I might not even get it though. Would rather have a life size Predator.

I wanna see how the Berserker life size bust turns out, as well as If any other predator life size busts come out. Also want to see what the Prometheus film offers up.

I've only ordered from them once and I'm not ordering from them again. I had HT spidey pre-ordered through them. They canceled my order without notifying me. I emailed them and got no response. They could have at least responded to my email which would have left the door open for me to perhaps consider them in the future. As is none of my money is going anywhere in their direction.

Yeah I used to keep Dakfigures in my bookmarks for places to pick up stuff, but Ive never ordered anything from them. I will say now that Ive heard these 2 stories, I actually deleted them now. I dont want to deal with that kind of stuff.

I've been following this thread for weeks..i feel very fortunate my exclusive #30 lsb pred came safely after reading all these damage report...its one of the worse feeling unboxing a piece to find it damaged because expectations were high...it happened to me twice this year

I got mine today. Everything looks ace except for one missing quill in the same exact area as a lot of other ppl, right underneath the leather, just missing one, it's not even really noticeable cause of the necklace, but if I can get a refund, then might as well just to get it through their heads that QC still needs to improve BEFORE they leave the factories.

Now, besides the missing quill, mine looks great. The paint could be a little better, but overall, I give it a solid B+/A-. My teeth look fine, there not as bad as some other that I had seen. I actually don't think they could be any straighter or else they would be touching some of the others.

the chaver.. take your time on deciding to get your next lifesize..i would have to agree about the predalien..i have one #23 predalien and the paint application is very dull and disappointing..but last month i decided to minwax predalien with two coats of clear gloss polyurethane with foam & 1 1/2 inch soft brush..it really enhance the piece giving it a wet & glossy shine look that it should of had from the begining.now im happy with it..sideshow has gotten lazy finishing thier products

Holy ____! That looks whole hell of a lot better! Yeah, it should have had a clear gloss to begin with. Guess Sideshow feels if we want clear gloss, we can do it ourselves..

I am a carpenter and I'm falmiliar with Minwax. Although I only really have only worked with the polycrylic varnish because of the Polyurethane being a messier applicaton and clean up process. But Polycrylic is not something you want to use for this type of an application.

I am taking my time though. I actually had this bust on flexpay with my LCS but backed out because of finaicial reasons. So I have already had plenty to think about it. It really is the only piece out there of it's kind. Yeah, the berserker Predator looks cool, as well as huge like the Predalien bust, but I am more of an Alien fan and P1 would be my first buy so I am trying to hold out for it. Hell, if they dont release another Pred or alien life size bust by end of next year, which we know they will, I will get the Berserker too!

I will do what you did with the polyurethane, though I will just make sure I'm neat and have everything covered. How long did this take you?

It took around 3 days,then waited 24hrs per coat and on the final day i coated spots i might had missed..i didnt put any on the braids or his clear dome in fear of messing up the see thru dome..but the whole body and base even under behind the neck is coated...i was very suprised how it turned out...love the wet & slimey look it has now..

Did they open your LSB prior to shipping it out to confirm there wasn't any damage to the piece?

Mine's finally on it's way!!!! Dumb question, but how does SS decide when we get our orders? I always seem to get mine months after everyone else. Is it random or when the orders are made?
