While it looks better from the pics than I thought it would, I made the right call (for me) in cancelling. Maybe I'll pick it up later down the road if I can find it cheaper. Since I do not own any of the other LSBs.. it's just not worth $400 to me with the few issues it has..

Grats for those getting them.

Magnetic dreads?!

Nope - just push-fit.

And if you are adding/removing the batteries in the base, OR tipping the bust in any way, it may be best to remove the dreds first as the weight of them can make them come loose as you turn the bust.

I got lucky - one of mine fell out but was only 2 foot above carpet so no damage.

Still - bloody silly thing to do (no magnets that is).

.

I'd be happy if all of the dreads were removable on these things, it would make touch ups much easier and reduce shipping worries.

That last shot is better, but still looks pretty plain. I might still pick one up and do some re-painting.

Okay, had a good look at this now, I like it. It isn't perfect but it's a very decent addition to the line and looks nice on display. As ever there are some pros and cons, this thing is heavy! None of that feather light nonsense here, it is so heavy in fact that it is a bit tail heavy and you have to be careful not to nudge it too much or it will topple, the base definitely should have been extended back a bit to compensate for the extra shoulder armor. The paint isn't actually bad over all, it lacks P1 specific weathering which is always the case from all companies making Predator stuff and the blast mark on the head is bad but doesn't ruin it over all as it is more subtle in person. The main problem is the usual lack of refinement by the factory rather than anything specific. The cannon and dreads don't slot in correctly for example and some parts are poorly constructed with areas missing paint (the belt buckle and the area between the head and bio mainly) Fortunately none of these areas are too obvious once it is up on display where it does look nice. I do wish it had proper lenses though, why is that still being overlooked? especially on these larger scale items. Still, very much recommended...

Not the best pictures as the English midlands are as dull as can be today, but they will have to do for now...

With the SWS 1/4 bio for comparison... That has real lenses!

A very big county surrounded by RAF bases ;) And the small bio is from the SWS/SSC 1/4 Maquette, it is almost perfect and actually looks like metal. I wish the 1:1 bio and this were just enlarged versions of that little beauty.

Glad your happy with it and thanks for the awesome pictures. The lil mask is the maquette Exclusive? It looks repainted.

I like your comparison pics with the original version, Python. It does look plain by comparison, but I still think it looks nice. I always wanted the LSB with the bio mask. I might pick this up later, but I really don't have space for it. I love my original bust to pieces.

Thank you, I wouldn't say it is plain, it's quite nice tbh. But the original is the better piece if you had to choose just one. It had better paint and dreads etc, some of them are fused on this one. It isn't too noticeable while it's up on display fortunately but we don't like that.. I really really really hope we get a P2 in future. A good one, but this is a decent bust imo.
