PREDATOR Movie Thread

Hey folks,

I watched Predator on Blu-ray Disc last night. It has been a long while since I last watched this. I had forgotten how awesome the movie is.

So, how old do you think P1 was? I say he was middle aged and in human terms, its like he was 40-45. He was not reckless or careless, but he is not as old as an Elder.

What do yall think?

He really did not look like a kid. He wasn't reckless. He was on Earth alone.
I feel that P2 was younger, like a teen, and he was out to prove himself for the Elder and Lost Ps that were on the space craft that P2 got into. I'm gonna guess that the space craft was on Earth for the entire movie and the other Preds were there to observe P2 in his endeavor to collect trophies. I also feel that the Elder and LPs would open up a can of Woop A-- on P2 if he got too reckless and brought dishonor on the clan that he was a member of.

we know the p2 craft was there all along because when p2 kills king Willie there is a short scene that shows him cleaning the skull and placing it in the trophy case of the ship.

Anderson's 'logic' was that it is easier to hunt Arnie than it is to hunt an Aliens therefore the p1 must automatically be younger than the AVP preds.
there was actually nothing to suggest that the Jungle Hunter had not hunted Aliens before and for all we know the Alien skull in the p2 craft might have been a kill of the city hunter.

I dont care how old the Predator was....screw that crap. The Predator was a skilled Hunter. He's a badass. Only thing that can kill him is his cockyness. Other then that, he's freaking unstoppable...until he meets an Alien that is. (then the tables turn a bit, but thats not for here.)

Lets discuss the movie and the canon stuff...rather then the Comic/AvP junk...IMO anyway.

Whats your favorite line? Mine's "You're one ugly mother ^^^^er...." So badass.

Yeah, well...I can't say much for the line of logic Anderson displays there. He also set it up that the Predators only hunt the Aliens on Earth once every 100 years...so what else was the P1 supposed to hunt? Also have to remember that the AVP:R was an "accident" because they didn't know about the Predalien Scar's body was hosting.
