premium format bases some good some are bad. thor captain america good. hulk good i like plain. do not like photos of new bases i like plain not logo. logo look weird with many together

yep bases suck.. personally i think the base is as important as the actual statue, which is why the two mentioned aren't making me need them.

The only way the Gambit base will work display-wise is if they make the same base for the Rogue PF. Same goes with the Ms Marvel base, a future Avenger PF should have the same base. Otherwise, it's just not consistent with the other PFs, which does not make for a great display.

Yeah I agree. Then you'll have all the X-men and Avengers with bigass X's and A's under them which will look really stupid. Apart from the bases, Gambit and Ms.Marv are awesome sculpts and at least bases can be really easily customed.

Some people aren't honest and just like to defend dumb things lol.

i was so blown away by the PF Gambit that i didn't actually paid attention to the base. haha. but yeah, there's only so much rocks, streets, rubble, and gargoyles that can go around that we might need a little more intuitiveness for the bases.. imo, only Prof. X should have an X-base

I care more about the statue than I do its base.

Ms. Marvel is in a static pose so, IMO, the base is okay. Not great but okay for that pose.

If she was in an action pose I'd like to see something that adds to the dynamic. But that's just me.

I'm probably in minority here but while I do appreciate a good looking base, I don't really care what the base looks like. The statue is all I'm concerned about and the base is a bonus, if that's the word I'm looking for. No, more of an afterthought, yeah that's it. So long it supports the statue, it could be a colored block of wood for all I care (so long as they lowered the price a bit).

well, if they do that with the price, like e.g. $225 down to $150 for a wood base, bring on the COASTERS!

That Ms. Marvel statue looks so good she could be standing on a base of dog poop and I would still buy the EX version.

I understand the "Static pose = coaster base" arguement. However, I don't agree. At the price of PF's such as Gambit and Ms. Marvel, I feel we should be getting more for a base. Even if its a small base such as building debree, terrain, or even a small piece of the "danger room" floor (for gambit and future xmen pf's) would be much better and worth the price tag. Especially if they all connect together for the xmen and avengers teams.
