Hi I'm just a bit confused about what premium format figure is. Is this a posing figure that you can pose or does it do 2 poses automatically or have I got it completely wrong and buying one premium format means that you get 2 figures?

A "Premium Format Figure" is a 1/4 scale statue with some degree of mixed media (usually fabric clothing.) It is not poseable but some Premium Formats come with an alternate head, hand, or accessory that you can switch out to change the display.

:lecture I fully expected the first response to be a smart ass response. Good job proving me wrong, Khev.

Simply stated, while a PF is not posable, the soft goods and size make the PF the best format around.

For the PF's that come with switch-out pieces, they are just that: pieces. Sideshow makes sure that it is seamless though, so it's painless to assemble and people will never know that the PF consists of separate "pieces".

Beware though: Once you travel down the PF path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you, it will.

Thankyou so much for that both of you, I'm very dumb when it comes to collectibles as I have only been getting the polystone lotr stuff and thats what started me off. I'm a great fan of star wars but I'm too terrified to look in that area as I am sure that bank balance will be cleared out if I do go look. I do not have any Gollum figures so will probably go with the PF Gollum as the new one is really small.

Yes Robo and the Endoskeleton did have some articulation. Very little though.

The 1:4 scale endo is actually quite articulated. Basically, everything from the waist up is articulated, including each joint on each finger. Of course, the design of the endoskeleton lends itself well to articulation at pretty much any scale.
