I have to agree that X-23 is not a bootleg of Wolverine. Yes, I know that Marvel wants to cash in on their big cash cow, but Laura has really come in to her own character.

I recommend reading the first NYX mini and both of the X-23 series. They are really good. The artwork on the X-23 series is by Mike Choi and is gorgeous. Also, Laura is in the new X-Force series and is being written well in that too.

I just read up about it. That's actually a pretty symbolic piece! I don't follow comics as much as I used to, so I don't know the slightest about X-23 (until now) but if I was ordering this, the Exclusive would be a must. The Locket Exclusive may be small, but I can definitely see why people would want the Exclusive over the regular.

I like the smirk. Its almost saying "You still want some big boy?". Its like the Wolverine pieces. Just about everyone is him growling or yelling....then you see one like the Frank Miller inspired where he is smirking and it really stands out.

If the comments are cause of how cheap it actually looks, well then I guess that's another thing. But I don't think it should be called lame just cause you think it's an ordinary locket that doesn't mean anything.

Good post, Havok! I agree the locket is very signifcant to X-23's history.

The exclusive isn't anymore "lame" than a "leather belt with skull belt buckle" that Mystique comes with.

Yeah I agree that it helps with the money that they are spread out. So I guess it's equal good and bad.

Even though I didn't order this one, I would go with the Exclusive as well. But I will admit that there are a few Exclusives that I'm struggling to justify (ie Abomination and his Fire Hydrant. ) I will give Sideshow the benefit of the doubt though.
