What kind of stuff do you use to preserve the rubber on your for example HT figures? How often must it be applied?

That's a good question. I was wondering about this when heard about the Appleseed HT Deunan. Heard about Armor All but not sure yet...

rubber drys and cracks, so keeping it hydrated is important. i would imagine a small application of armor all would work.

Doesnt Armor all shine stuff up also? What if you dont want the Shiny look on the material, ie BATMAN begins and Flesh like HT Rocky?

I looked up some stuff about armor all, it's a bit controversial. Some say it does the opposite of what it is supposed to do.

I just orderd both the HT Deunan and HT Briareos and was wondering. If I live in Las Vegas, a very dry climate, are my rubber toys going to deteriorate quicker than in other areas?

just leave it alone.. it's toys guys.. it'll eventually disapear.. now the ones you love.. you gotta preserve those.

At $200 dollars a pop, I would like to prevent my "toys" from "disappearing" for as long as possible...

just stick them in a pitcher of water then place them in the freezer. i suugest an upright freezer for displaying purposes.

Just definately keep it out of frequent Sunlight, and remember the less you move the joints or body the less likely its gonna wear and tear. I think keep in it moist is a good idea too. The best solutioin would be put it in a glass case and let it be haha, but i can't help but to pose my Rambo fig everyday :)

i would not suggest armor all at all. it will yellow certian plastics and break down certian polymers. go with a mostly silicone preservative and do so sparingly. if you have soft plastics that come in contact with a harder plastic use a little bit of talc powder (baby powder) where the two touch but not too much as to look as if the figure was just in a big coke party rave blowout......:D. not to sure about the dry air climate as i am from the south on the gulf coast.
