I ordered the Buffy Exclusive PF today, and I think it looks GREAT!
Having said that though, I'll lkely onl y be interested in the girls from the show:
Buffy, Wilow, Faith, and Cordelia would be my top 4 so far.
I've not gotten far enough in the show yet for Buffy's sister, or Willow's "conversion" :naughty

Buffy will look great next to my 7 of 9 PF Exclusive.

Damn! I'm happy to hear that the hair is being tweaked but that makes me want to get this even more now. I was consoling myself that I wasn't going to get it but it was okay because the hair looked a little funny. Now she's going to look perfect!! Damn you Sideshow!!! :stake

BDboystoys- Did you get yours yet? I have one reserved for you, just in case.

Tomandshell, you are the best. I cant belive you would do that!!! But thankfully my mum ordered it for me(after a long explaining on 'how to') while I was out at school. Sorry I didnt reply until now, I had to leave right after I heard it was to be 1pm PST.

Again, THANKYOU though. VERY VERY thoughtful:D you rock:rock

im glad the hairs being tweaked but god it looks awesome. My main concern is that the paint aps looks that good for the production version.

WOO HOO!!!!! MY FIRST PF EVER!

on a side note. With the Buffy PF order. In your account home, should it say 'New' nxt to your order? I thought it usually said 'order placed'. Can someone clear that up for me?

It says "new" for a while, but then eventually changes to "order placed."

No big deal about ordering it for you! I have never watched Buffy, so I wasn't getting one for myself. I put in an order just in case you missed out, since it sounded like you were pretty excited to get one and I wanted to cover your back! I'm sure glad you did--looks like it will be a great figure for the Buffy fans. Hope you love your first PF!!

I hope sideshow could add Buffy's signature cross necklace in 1/4 scale in the mean tie. I think everyone wants one. I mean she didnt wear it in that shoot but everyone knows it and i think would want one. PLEEEEZ sideshow! Just a little necklace!:D :angelsmil

With all of the Photoshopping that goes on around here, do you really think we will have to wait until it gets delivered?

Ordered her as soon as she came up for pre-order! This will be my first PF figure, but she's well worth it!

I think the facial sculpt is perfect, so I hope any tweaking that is done is only done to the hair.

I was just on Sideshow's homepage, and PF Buffy is listed as number 8 in the 'Most Popular' section. Director Skinner is listed number 9 and has a low quantity alert of 60 out of 500 remaining. Could this mean that at least 441 PF Buffys have been sold?

Same here. I'm going to have her facing off against some of the 18" figures coming out this year, like SOTA's Darkness and Pumpkinhead.

I am happy to say that I broke down and bought her Royal Buffiness.

I did Flex pay so the price won't kill me as much.

Take care all and Happy Valentines day

SideshowTom: on the production piece the hair should actually sit down on the shoulders more tightly

This makes me so happy. :blissy

Now the only complaint/problem I have with this PF figure is the same complaint I have with most of them. I can't stand the name plate. :banghead However, the only way I can show my dissatisfaction would be to not order any figure that has a nameplate. Unfortunately, I love them and can't live without them. :wacky

I went ahead and ordered the regular version from Alter-Ego. I guess if Sideshow shows some pics of the book and it's awesome, I'll cancel and try to get the flex-pay for this. I just love the likeness.

Stupid PFs - I was able to resist Luke & Han; convinced myself Vader & Grievous were too expensive; loved Obi-Wan, but knew he would lead to Vader & Grievous; couldn't resist Leia; Obi-Wan got the better of me and I joined the wait-list and it was converted to an order; now I've got the Buffy PF. I'm so weak.

this is an awesome piece of work. im very impressed with the likeness of SMG they have achieved. if someone wants to help sponsor my collection i would appreciate it if you would send one of these to my house. anyways im happy for all the buffy collectors out there because you finally got the PF that you have been waiting for. i hope you all get one!!!

I can't stand the name plate. However, the only way I can show my dissatisfaction would be to not order any figure that has a nameplate.

It certainly isn't too difficult to find all sorts of stands whether one you make, or one you can get at a trophy shop that you could use instead of the ones SST provides. A simple small hole drilled into the top and your figure will fit on easily and securely. You could always just turn the Buffy stand around so you don't see the sign and maybe have to redrill a hole and fill in the empty one with putty and you're set as well.

I'm not a fan of nameplates either (although I liked them on the 8" Uni's), but the most distracting element of this one is the bright lilac color the "Buffy" logo is painted, it really pulls your eye away from the figure an down to the base. With apologies to the Master Painters at SC, I sampled some of the orange-brown rust color from the base to colorize the logo, and to my eye, it brings it more in harmony with the rest of the piece:

It's obvious SC is testing the waters with this figure, but if it performs well enough to justify continuing the line with more characters from the Buffyverse, I hope the hight of the bases will remain consistent to keep the figures in scale with each other.

I can't believe that banner FF! I was watching the episode on the season 5 DVD "intervention" or the ep after it (forgot the name) where Buffy heads out to the desert and meets the first slayer and couldn't help but think that would make an interesting fig. The "quasi - sleeves" would even cover most of the arm articulation. I put a lot of thought into it, and here it is in banner form. Cool!
