Prime 1 - Alien: Romulus - 1/3 Scorched Alien

I'm going to see this tomorrow. Hope it's good! I probably wouldn't get another 1/3 Alien as I already have 2 with the Big Chap Museum and Warrior, but who knows....

I love these pieces, but Prime 1's Alien and Predator bases are really getting out of hand. The size and weight they add is overwhelming, taking away the focus of the character too much, at least for me. The 1/3 Alien Big Chap was a great balance between statue and base, but while i thought this one would be an instant purchase, it's just too unwieldy.

Yeah, I would hope their XL Warrior and Big Chap will be more minimal since their smaller counterparts had bigger bases (Warrior with the hive wall and Big Chap with the full door). But it's Prime 1, they'll do whatever they want and that usually means massive bases.

Increasing the sizes, prizes and bases that much makes a lot of people stop collecting these things… just look at how many people are arguing on the collectors forums… I’m from Spain and we also have a collectors forum here… nobody participates anymore, except a group to discuss about Dragon Ball figures… it’s not just a question of prices but about place… What kind of house should I have if I want to collect these new aliens (assuming a collector might be interested in different lines… (Jurassic Park, Marvel…))? It’s just crazy….

About that scorched alien…cool, but I must pass…
