Plasma Castor is too big.

This piece is very nice but will never have the SW pedigree that comes with the SS Maquette.
Nothing will beat it imo but that's my opinion and I'm happy if others think differently.

Maybe you should calm down and respect opinions shared by others...

Why don’t you count to 10 before you make false assumptions...

What is awesome, and just reinforces how great this Prime 1 is, is the salty boys losing their **** over this trying to make themselves feel better over their SS crapquette. If the SS was truly still numero uno they wouldn't bother needing to come in here defending it.[emoji6][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Plasmacaster on the SWS is objectively too big. We all know the original 1:1 statue was scanned without it and the thing had to be sculpted fresh for the maquette. Still looks great, but oversized as a result.

If you don't mind that, the only other mark against the SWS is the now aged paint app. Not a crime considering it's been over ten years, but it's something to consider. And for those planning to display the Prime 1 with the unmasked open mouth, the superior sculpt of the SWS helmet becomes a non-factor.

Depending on which head you use, whether you favor accuracy or paint detail, you could make an argument for either piece being the "best." I believe those claiming the Prime 1 "looks better" than the SWS do so because while it loses a few percentage points in the accuracy column, the paint is massively improved and people tend to respond to that more immediately. Can't say I blame them; paint is an important part of a collectible's appearance. How important is subjective, so slinging garbage at each other is silly.

their SS crapquette.

This is valid if you're talking about the more recent P1 maquette from a couple years back. If you're referring to the 2007 SWS, I'd say that's undeserved.

I'm telling you guys, the only reason a Troll checks back in on a thread is to see if we left him any food. Starve him and he will go away.

That said, It us very rare that we get any movie statue that is 100% accurate. Yes the SWS is great, but unobtainable for me. This new Prime One looks great and has modern quality paint app as pointed out already. So, for me, this is a great one to add to the collection. Just a few days to PO.

We as collectors should all be so lucky that we have options to choose from. These are good times to be a Predator fan and collector.

Wow, first time hearing of a Prime 1 piece with lean issues. I'm talking about the relatively recent Sideshow maquette with the misplaced right leg armor and molded together closed mandibles.
If memory serves the statue was a batman in quite a similar pose to this although more awkward looking and less natural. I don't collect DC and I think it was facebook I was seeing this on. I sound like a liar now and like I'm stirring up panic but I assure you I'm not. I can't see it happening with this but it's a scary thought when considering the price.

Yep, the recently released Hush statue. Prime 1 said they'd look into it and see what could be done, but didn't promise anything specific.
Still a greater effort than some other companies would make...

They then announced the black version of the same statue not long after. Cheeky timing.

All comes down to the pose for me with regards to the SWS version. Its the only thing that I never liked about that piece.

You're much more patient than me mate - I blocked him Nov 2017 about a month after he joined - he'd only made 4 posts but I could tell he was going to be a Richard from day 1 :)

.
You, Sir, have a very specific set of skills.
You spared yourself from some pretty cringeworthy negativity.
I applaud you!:lecture

This. I never liked the pose either. Top that with SS ****** factory paints. Yeah no thanks. Had I ever gotten a 1:4 + statue of the Jungle Hunter it would have been the Cinemaquette which (despite its "inaccuracies") is the true grail status Pred statue to own.

But I must say this Prime 1 looks to be putting the sting off missing out on that one. What makes it even more special for me is the pose they went with...basing it loosely off the Comic. Which, back in the late 90s I had the pleasure of meeting Stan Winston at Wizard World Chicago. Unfortunately I didnt have anything for him to sign so I had him sign my Predator drawing that I had done of that same cover! So I have that framed and it will be displayed on the wall behind this Prime 1! Check the pics! [emoji4]

Cant be more excited for a release next year!

Same. It's a technical achievement as far as accuracy, but like you, I never cared for the pose.

I do realize this is all a form of art and just like everything in life personal preference wins every time.

Oh, and have I mentioned that this P1 from P1 has me so excited that I P1 of my pants every time I think about it?

Very cool! Thanks for sharing.

Haven?t fed you recently, yet you keep posting...:lol

Yep, almost 1,200 posts over the past 5 years here. And congratulations, you are now officially the first person I have ever had to add to my ignore list.
No go to your room and think about what you have done.

PS, don't bother with one of your "clever" rebuttals because I won't see it.

(I can't believe this moron baited me into one last feast, he must be obese by now)
