That’s the issue, you’re missing out on another sculpt when paying the highest premium. You need both versions to get the complete look. Bad business move.

Well you can argue about that. If you get the stage 5 sculpt too than it only makes sense to get an other upper body since the damage on the chest is different compared to the stage 5 version.
Than you will need another shirt, than another jacket. Not to mention the other accessories. The platinum will be around 3000 dollar as of right now IMO (if we are lucky a little bit less) and here in Europe around 3500 Euro. If you add the other things I mentioned it would easily be around 4000.
Or you just want the other head and you left with an inaccurate look and I would never display it like that personally. The stage 4 and 5 look are similar but there are significant differences between them which makes it hard to put them in 1 version unless you want to pay a fortune (it is already a fortune).

Agreed it’s a different look in terms of clothing and torso, just a shame they didn’t factor it in with a deluxe edition of some sort. $3K for it is tough when it’s not Silicone at that price range. Having a JND for less is now got me comparing all 1/3 statues naturally now.

To me the best would be the stage 5 version as a platinum release but it looks like it won't happen. All in all I am very happy with the Cyberdyne look so I am going to preorder that one.

I'm in on one of these or the endoskeleton. Measurements might decide it. The measurements on the endoskeleton should fit nicely in a sixth98 moducase case, very interested to see what the t-800 clocks in at. I'm counting down the hours.
What are your thoughts on the rooted hair - do you think they can pull it off in production? That queen studios bust left a little to be desired imo.

Prices are up! Regular 1700, Deluxe 2099, Platinum 2700. Pretty good prices. So real leather did not really add much to the price after all. Pretty good prices IMO.
I'm all in for the deluxe, but debating if I want to get the "deluxe bonus version" with sunglasses and risk paying their crazy high shipping price...

Yes they definitely listen to feedbacks. As soon as possible I am going to order the Platinum version. Cannot wait. It is too bad it is so far away.
Also I cannot wait for the T-1000. I hope there will be some surprise regarding the T-1000. I hope the platinum version (if there will be any) will be made from the beginning of the movie or with the motorcycle gear. Thematicaly the motorcycle goes with the Cyberdyne look but the rooted hair and glass eyes are better for the regular cop uniform.

I'm tempted by the Regular. Stage 5 is my favorite look from T2 and that version has everything needed to recreate it, plus all 12 grenades if I really want him kitted up. At $1700 with real leather, that seems like a good deal.
Were you planning to order direct or from an American retailer? Most retailers carry the bonus versions too.
Ah you're right, it does say it's available at authorized distributors as well.
So what are the best options for those in the US these days? I know there's BBTS, Secret Compass, Heroes Collectibles, and maybe Sideshow (eventually). Does Spec no longer carry P1 stuff anymore? I could have sworn they did at one point.
You can order through Spec Fiction if you contact them directly. They don't show Prime 1's products on their site anymore, so it's a little under the table.
I still like the Platinum the most out of the 3 as full BD has never been my favorite look. However, sort of tempted to also buy a regular to get the other swap outs and try to sell the rest. Maybe someone else will want those parts to be able to display 2 statues at a lower cost.
