Got a notification today this is expected early at Sideshow April/June

I'm trying to pull the trigger on this bust on Awesome Collector. Has anyone ever shopped with them before? Do they double package their items? Charge Sales tax (CA resident)? Customer service experience?

Customer service is awesome. I was charged sales tax in CA, and they did doublebox.

Arrived this week from Sideshow. Really impressive piece, it's bigger in person than it appears in the product photos.
Also a note to people, it does not include the power cable, it requires a USB-C cable which can go to a USB wall power adapter so you'll have to get one separately yourself, you might have one sitting around they come with a bunch of things these days, I used one from an old phone.

Order it directly from Prime 1 in Japan. I've ordered stuff directly from them, and it's great. Slow boat shipping to Texas is only $275, and there's no sales tax! (Also, yes, I'm in Texas.)

No issues here, just make sure you plug the wire from the bust to the base and find a USB-C cable with a power adapter to get the power, it's unfortunate that it doesn't come with a cable but if you don't have one you can get one for cheap.

Well, it all depends on your disposable income and narrowing your "collecting range".
I have learned real quickly that downsizing and focusing on specific collecting is way more
affordable than trying to collect all the things you "like".

Yeah, I had a move where I sold a bunch of stuff and so I'm restricting things to very specific stuff that I like and how I want my collection to be.

If you want to straighten that large spine you can use a hair dryer to soften it since that part is vinyl
