Yeah, their bases being the same was really smart, and compliments the fact that the Arkham Knight is a "carbon copy" of Batman on many levels. Plus, it really allows them to be showcased well together!
That said, I'm in for Harley and Catwoman as well...with the possibility of Nightwing and Batgirl. Nightwing is never done enough in statue form, and Arkham's Batgirl looks badass. All pose pending, and ignoring the final costs, of course. Can't think of those, that'd be just wrong as a collector.
Hopefully the release dates are spread far enough apart to make it plausible, though at the same time I'm really eager to see their Harley/Catwoman sculpts!

Id grab a Harley, Scarecrow or Riddler in a heartbeat. Not sure how I feel about Batgirl, Catgirl or Nightwing. Guess id have to see it before I could make the decision.

As far as this selling out fast, I'm sure it will, but I think it'd would've sold out a lot faster had the EX been available for viewing. I know it was up on Prime 1's Facebook for a while, but I'm sure a lot of people don't find out about pieces until they're up for order. Those of us on these boards are all an incredibly small percentage of collectors, so I'm guessing most don't even know what the EX is.
Doesn't mean it won't sell out fast, as I'm sure it will...just not as fast as it would've had the Red Hood shots been included.
not only that but i did not even know it was up! only reason i looked was i Always thought newsletter was today but it was already up omg

Yeah, after the delay last week I had a feeling it was just going to pop up at some point this week. Usually when it's companies that they distribute for the POs end up going up whenever there's a free day during crowded release times. The end of the week last week was a safe bet, but getting it up quickly was the best option. I still think it's odd that the EX isn't being shown, as it's such a big selling point. The Arkham Knight statue looks awesome as is, but the EX makes you go, "Wow!" even if you plan on displaying him as the Knight!
I mean, even a picture of the helmet and two chest pieces like they previewed earlier, but blacked out would've been better than nothing.

I haven't heard anything about Harley/Catwoman yet in terms of release dates. I'd think they'd want to spread them out to make it so that those who want the line can balance it. But yeah, I'm guessing we'll see a preview or two during the Fall, at least for one of them, with a release date more into the end of summer/Fall of next year.

Is this character really that popular and special as to where you'd want a 1/3 scale depiction forever in your collection after the hype of the game wears off?

I thought of that myself, but the Arkham franchise is so cool the characters design from the game is just as memorable as the comic versions.
And a Prime1 statue is so detailed it will be awesome to have it in my Bat collection.
I think he is, specially the exclusive you can display him like that if you dont like the game or the hype is over every comic fan knows him :S
I'm totally in for the car can't wait for the PO.

Well if you've read this thread then I'm sure you know the spoilers surrounding this character! Also, even if you don't, as I've mentioned before, the game hits you over the head with it fairly early on to the point where if you don't know who it is, then you don't know Batman lore at all. That's why I think it's silly that Prime 1 wasn't able to show the EX, as two months later, most know the identity and can move along -- plus, it's a huge selling point to this piece.
So yeah, as for your question, it all depends, really. His true identity is something that will fit alongside Batman perfectly in statue form, and as was mentioned, the incredible detail that Prime 1 is putting into this piece will really make it pop as well. Not everyone will want him, that's for certain; but he's definitely a badass character with a stylish look, and if you're a fan of the Arkham games/universe, then he's also a great addition to own there as well. Like everything though, in the end it's a personal decision.

Prime 1 just said that they wouldn't go above Batman's cost, not that they wouldn't be equal. And since this is Batman's equal in the game, it's only fitting!
That said, the EX makes it even more worthwhile, and even without it, he's got an incredible amount of swap out poses that should make collectors happy! I think prices will start to drop $50 or so when the ladies pop up...the lowest would be $799.99, but I don't think we'll see them that low. Hopefully, but doubtful. I'm guessing $849.99.
