As much as people love to delude themselves, the original Batman PF is not 1:4 scale but bigger, the simple comparison with other JL members highlights this fact

I don't know. Batman seems to be the same scale as Supes and WW to me...

I think Bats is a tad beefy but I still love him. If you compare Bats to Hulk, clearly he is oversized. Still, in a lineup with Supes and WW, he fits right in...Trinity is an awesome lineup! Why is this being discussed in the Noel Bats thread?

Yeah, I'm a total hypocrite. After ragging on this statue when it was first revealed for being "too monochromatic", then going back to look at it again and again and again, yesterday I finally surrendered to its awesomeness and preordered it.

Now to figure out where to put it where it won't overwhelm my PFs.

Haha dude that's awesome! Definitely similar to what happened to me. Looked at it for weeks then realized I should probably preorder while there are some EX left :lol

It really is awesome.

Btw this picture was posted very recently, AK Batman next to the PF:

I know it's not Noël (AK Batman is 34") but still gives a good idea.

Sorry, missed the reply. Yes as scale, probably he's there with WW and Supes but then I look at it and the mass on his legs, arms and torso is simply huge. His legs are twice the size of Superman's leg. I get that Bruce is often drawn as being a tad shorter and stockier than Clark, but he is incredibly massive compared to all other JL members.

Also, I think that it shouldn't be the Noel Batman to be compared to the PF, but the opposite - I mean, P1's Batmans are taken from the original 3D files of the game. You "only" need to scale them to 1:3 scale when you print the master, and that's it, can't get more accurate than that in terms of size and proportions. The PF, on the other hand, was made from the ground with no reference other than what the artist wanted to make.

The pose definitely makes the statue look short for a 1:3 but I don't mind as I don't own any Batman PF, the statue will by default look huge :lol

I am glad they didn't go with the same pose as the AK one, yes you get the full height, but this kind of semi-dynamic pose is what I expect from a Batman statue and also allows for the two angry portraits, especially the third exclusive one, to make sense. They would look a bit strange on a guy just standing there like the AK version imo.

We'll all accept a formal apology now. Lmao

And they are just getting started when it comes to the Batman universe, which really is freaking insane when you think about it.

So glad I ordered this, what a beautiful work of art.

The second photo makes me feel better about the size difference.. I would not mind if this as 1/4 scale... Just not for 400.00 more.

It's definitely not 1/4, I think we can trust that Prime 1 did their homework and that this Batman will be a proper 1/3 like the rest of the line.
The Batman from the PF is standing closer to the camera on the pics, also the measurement takes into account the ears which are twice as long, and like some people mentioned the PF does seem bigger than 1/4.

I think this pic is the one where they really stand at the same distance from the camera:

Agreed. I was never sold on the original SS PF, but it's a fine enough Batman if I have $400 leftover for another PF compared to this Noel piece. I don't care as much about scale accuracy as long as the companion pieces in the line match with each other.

It's not that. Prime1 has their models printed from original in game files, which means that everything (size, proportions, measures) is spot on. They only need to set the printer to 1:3 scale. That's probably the most accurate way when it comes to scales.
Another example is the Hulk Maquette, it was produced based on the original Legacy maquette so you won't find a best representation of the movie Hulk in terms of size, mass and proportions, because it came directly from the original thing. Both these two methods are objective, there's pretty much no room from error.
The Batman PF, on the other hand, was sculpted from the ground and from the "eye" of the sculptor, which is entirely subjective. People are automatically assuming that the PF is in the correct scale either because it was the first 1:4 Batman on the market or because they own it and don't want to see a "flaw" in it (not really a flaw, scale inconsistencies happen all the time to all companies so nothing new).

I think the PF is a tad oversized. The Noel bats is accurate I'm sure. It comes with enough extra pieces and an amazing paint job...the price is warranted. Arkham Knight Bats is also immaculate. I am a bit bummed AK Bats comes with only one head while Noel comes with 3 and you have to get the bust to get other heads...

Glad I have this coming also... My only wish is that the bat symbol on his chest was just a tad darker like it is in the comics... Just to help it stand out more.

Just a tad darker.. Otherwise it's perfect.

Yeah I see what you mean. It would stand out nicely.
Hey who knows, maybe there still is enough time to suggest it depending on how advanced the manufacturing process is? :lol

Also they said that we should expect the final products to look in some cases better than the prototype, if I remember correctly.

From what I have seen of the game version of the Noël suit, I can understand why they chose to stick with the same shade, it's not as pronounced as on the cover of the comic book.

This Noel Batman is a ******* masterpiece. I can't believe that this thing turned out that great. It looks like it stepped right out of Bremejo's book. Wow. What a statue.
