I haven't received a delay notice, and I checked the SS site and still shows Aug. Maybe these are coming in batches...

I'm not on a payment plan, but the Prime 1 Red Hood was also delayed from Aug to Sept and I got an email for that last week. They also changed the delivery window on that piece on the website. Not so on this piece though

They haven't updated any of the stuff that got delayed today -- IS Vader, Vader helmet, this, Michelangelo etc. But they are delayed when all flex payers gets pushed back.

UPS sets the rates. Unless they are strapped together it won't be cheaper than the 2 separate.

Yes I assumed that was the case.

I guess I'm just used to retailers either absorbing the cost, or due to the size and weight of the item subsidising part of the cost of shipping to the end customer.

There's a massive discount for businesses that ship in volume. If you went to a UPS store and wanted to ship a decent sized Sideshow box, it'd be $

But I would've sworn I've read in both the figure and statue threads, that there have been occasions where people have been able to ship items at comparable prices to what Sideshow charges.

Truthfully the biggest statue I've had sent direct from Sideshow to Sydney, was the 1/4 Armored Batman for 180 USD. If that's after a bulk/business discount, I don't think I even want to know what it would've cost me.

Just create an order for a comprable sized P1 item on the sideshow site then enter your ZIP code to get the shipping cost.

Sideshow seems to offer cheaper shipping when ordering all four P1 Turtles($120 for single one and $193 for all), so hopefully this double box Batman doesn't have double shipping cost...

Wasn't expecting the 2 separate boxes and I haven't seen any pictures of them arriving strapped together, so I think it's safe to assume the shipping will be quite high.
