Went on a binge tear rewatching Alien and also the making of documentary (2 hour version) on youtube, ah it's frustrating that I'm not allowed to get this! That itch at the back of my skull is reaching the centre of my head lol.

Her main objection is space. Only if I had an extra room. Might try the sneaky way of making a nice dinner and loading up the movie, if I can just turn her into a fan that might do the trick! Hopefully this doesn't run out soon, I dig the action pose version.

Everyone needs their own little room for displaying their pieces! You could always tell her in 5 years it will probably be worth 7-10k

Plus no one really knows how much these statues are worth. I had a friend come over and see the dog and when I told her it was 2k she froze and got wide eyed. Then I told her how much the dx is worth on the second market when I said 6k and up she was in complete shock. I would never sell these though! Grails. Some guy posted on fb that he dropped his regular dog head and it is shattered. I've been traumatized for 24 hours from those pictures.
Yeah I wish I had that extra room, traded space for location argh!
Money sure does talk and in many tongues! Just gotta make sure she doesn't sell it one day and I come home and the Aliens gone missing haha. I love the Alien design, so sleek, use to do drawings of it back in school. From crude sketches to now having the option to buy and own one of these almost real life like replicas is so awesome. This one in particular looks accurate and has an asthetics appeal that none of the others have (for me anyway) so it's been on my radar for a while and that beeping noise getting loud lol.
Man he must be shocked and would still be in disbelief. It might be a statue but it would be akin to losing something dear. Might be a stretch but wonder if Prime 1 or Coolprops can make him another head piece? He might as well ask as it's going to be hard to find just the head piece in the market.

I have such built up anxiety waiting for the first images.
The first images of the dog weren't good haha. And then the next week someone dropped really really nice outdoor pictures of it and that is when everyone started ordering. The first picture I'm expecting a very humid room with over saturated pictures.
We haven't got much longer though.
Haha jacklyn! At this moment I need something, even a blurry photo..window was from march to June! They are waiting until the last moment? I’m anxious!lol! And this for first in hand pictures... after that...We will need to wait a litle more until we get them. Long wait but I know it’s worth it

Well to be honest he was complaining about the panic... Which seems to happen in every thread with every 1st In hand Pics.
I also don't see either of the firs two posts you shared as whining. An observation of one and a critique of the other. Especially since he owned that pieces.

Oh please this guy is on every thread complaining.
I have my hopes up for the big chap. And the reason I'm not too concerned about certain details is because I'll custom it as close to the prototype as I can. I already have everything to chrome the teeth the way I want it to look.
I'm expecting some burry pictures that people can't really see.
What makes me laugh is the same people who will be judging the paint apps will be the ones who love the cp big chap. That basically has 0 paint.

Fun fact: Alien was released on 6th December 1979.
Fingers crossed that month has nothing to do with this release and we get to see it well before the end of the year!

Oh yes you are right, that's the US release date. I quoted the Aus release date lol.

Hope to see something very soon. We should! There are no changes in the release date so I’m expecting to see the chap very soon the biggest concern I have with all this waiting is that we just have seen a “good” video in youtube and that’s it...i know it by heart! I don’t mind waiting but without events/conventions etc, we missed a very nice part of our hobby that is commenting reveals, pictures, new details....I think that companies nowadays and with the corona should have think on it giving us more options to see pieces..just to leep our interest on them...because while with the big chap I’m completely on, I’ve loosen interest regarding new pieces and my opinion as a collector from more than 10 years should make some companies think in how to keep interest of their customers for future releases.
