As much as I'd really like this, I just placed my order for the 1/3 Jungle Hunter which pretty much ended any hope of getting this. There's only so much I can commit to financially before it stops being enjoyable and I'm old enough to know my limits now. It was a tough choice until P1 actually started improving the JH, now that thing was just too good for me to pass up. I look forward to seeing all of your pics etc of this as they arrive.

That is the same statue that everyone said was brown at the same prime1 store in Japan. They lighting is just different.
This is not the production piece.

These are the exact same statue ( prototype) in the exact same store. They just moved it to the back and changed the lighting. This just shows the importance of good accurate lighting.

Oh, wow. Good luck to you. I'm in the same boat with SF, although I placed my order a few months back when the Prime 1 pieces were still being advertised on the site.

The green lighting will obviously make it look greener. The showroom lighting is probably an ultra white light which shows its truer paint scheme. I believe it still has a brownish colour as the dog alien looks very similar in tone and saturation to the BC in that previous image.

New controversy surround the museum Big Chap. Once again, people are in full on panic mode!

People are complaining about the shape of the teeth and the lack of chrome. The shape looks to be about the same. As for chrome, did anyone actually think P1 would chrome the teeth?? lol

I only ask because this the 2nd time I read this but have not seen the freak outs.

To be fair, Prime 1 said the teeth wouldn't be chromed several months ago. Funny how people don't take heed until photos are in their face. Is it a shame? Yes. Did CoolProps do it better? Yeah, actually. But it's not a surprise and the rest of the paintjob destroys the Big Chaps that came before. More than chrome, I think what would really help this is a bit of dark shading at the base of the teeth (which even the Dog Alien had).

As for the sculpt looking different (I think the incisors don't touch the bottom row like on the proto)... eh, could be a one-off issue. I hope they fix it it but it doesn't radically change the statue IMO. I never expected these to be perfect, I just want them to look as expensive as they are. Big Chap still does. The Big Game Cover Art 1/4 does not.

As much as I like prime 1 big chap (I have the DX on preorder), I really like my coolprops museum version too! After watching this pictures I have gone to see my big chap maquette and it is really awesome (I don’t feel it is destroyed by prime 1 haha) Paintjob in prime 1 looks amazing? Yes. But the coolprops giger’s maquette has a really beautiful “smile”, the case looks incredible…too black? Yes it is…but I love this very very much! Can’t wait to get the action pose to go with

I should've specified movie Big Chaps. The museum statue replicas are hard to judge on paintwork. I don't know if I even have the right to expect the rusty colors and mottling of the film suit on those.

What I can say with certainty is that the CP has the best body proportions.

I'm not worried about the chrome issue. It's a super easy fix, and by now i am quite used to fixing it on pieces I get going all the way back to the Predalien.

And although the pose and character are the same between the CP and P1 museum pose, that's about where the comparison stops. They are two entirely different things. I am quite happy with my CP maquette.

This is the exact same statue in the new pictures of it at the sideshow store. There is only one prototype of it. The lighting is all that has changed. They haven't released an official image of a statue from the production line yet, of the dx.
