Hey Joern! Thanks a lot for the new video! What a great Alien collection do you have!! I have seen the Mamegyorai and also an alien dog bust next to the Prime 1’s chap?. Which one do you like the most??
About the close up picture, I wouldn’t say it looks “very wrong”. Something is off with the tendons and the lips (there should be a continuity between them) and that affects to the facial expression of the alien itself. If you look close to the mamegyorai head, i’m sure you will see the difference. Closed mouth is so iconical for me to pass on it. I bought the dx just because the regular version was sold out.
If I can ask something more, could you please take a video not from the top but from the eyes level and from this side of the figure? Then could you move to a front view of it? I will display mine on that position and I would like to see how it looks in real haha. Still I’m impressed for your last pictures with the shadows…

I like all of them, as every statue is somewhat unique.
The Prime 1 Big Chap is currently my favourite as it covers my favourite alien and overall is the best. Detail and paint job are so close to what you see in the film. Simply very realistic.
Mamegyorai Big Chap is awesome too...bigger and I would say more detailed, but paint job is clearly lacking.
The Alien Dog comes 2nd for me...again because of the combination of level of detail, paint job and pose.

I have also the old Sideshow Big Chap. I absolutely love the pose as it so alien. But level of detail and paint job are no match to the new statues.

About taking another video...sure, will try to take it soon.

hi Joern! Thanks again!! That’s what I though that mamegyorai looks bigger although with the pose, I think it’s easier to display. So you have also the sideshow maquette…wow! You have lots of grails then!!I have the coolprops maquette, the bust and now I’ll have the prime 1 dx one (Also the sideshow dioramas and ripley from hottoys). No more place at home! Haha! My local seller says that they expect the figure in november…we will see…meanwhile, your photos, videos and comments helps a lot! (Still waiting for prime 1 answer…).

Hard to say...definitely not as heavy as the Mamegyorai. Maybe around 10kg ?!

But really heavy are the bottom and back parts of the base. I would rate the base alone around 20kg...

It is amazing how lightning influences the overall appearance of the paint application. It is amazing and I am very happy for You that You got all the other great statues as well.

Again I hope the jaw gluing thing is not a regular, because all in all, this is the Big Chap, at least I was waiting for. And I can´t even imagine, what kind of products will beat these in future.

I love the Mamegyorai, if you want the ultimate movie version, that is it. If you're happy with a somewhat artistic, but still relatively close looking creature with an overall presentation, the Prime 1 version is arguably the best option yet. A mix of the two would be spectacular in the perfect world.....

That’s what I’m going to do with mine. Remove that vertical wall, as I have a nice awesome poster that will be display behind the statue. The Big Chap and wall blend too much together, I need contrast. The wall will stay in the box.

That sounds fantastic, I can't wait to see your setup! I initially liked the back wall, but I agree, after a while the alien blends in the back wall a little too much, and a nice eye popping photo would be a good contrast.
